In religion, ethics, and philosophy the coexistence of good and evil is a very common dichotomy. In cultures with Manichaean and Abrahamic religious influence, evil is usually perceived as the paired antagonistic opposite of good, in which good should dominate and evil should be defeated. In cultures with Buddhist spiritual influence, both good and evil are perceived as part of an antagonistic pair that itself must be overcome through achieving “Śūnyatā” meaning emptiness in the sense of recognition of good and evil being two opposing principles but not a reality, emptying the two qualities of them, and achieving unity (Good and Evil." This novel expresses various themes and diverse topics to think about, including the moral nature of human beings, whether people are essentially good or essentially evil. The coexistence of good and evil is defined as a policy of living peacefully with other nations or religions also to exist together at the same time in harmony. The head cannot exist without the tail, and the tail cannot exist without the head. Everything in this world is a dualism. In it, you can always find yin and yang. Atticus Finch is a character of stability in an unstable society. He is a balanced figure who is able to cope with the unreasonable and highly emotional town in which he lives. He can manage the prejudiced white masses and still deal justly with the underprivileged Negro population of Maycomb. He is one of the few people who understand the individual worth of a person regardless of the color of his/her skin. This enables him to defend Tom Robinson based solely on the concept of justice and equality. In his closing argument, Atticus explains that, “there is one place all men are created equal. That place is in a court room” (Lee 205). This justifies the fact that Atticus believes in equality in a society, the equality not only of race, but also of sex, class, and religion as well. His view of equality and justice is a symbol of his own psychological stability throughout the novel. Accordingly, in the final analysis of the story, Atticus represents the “justice” in the community of Maycomb. Atticus’ statement on prejudice and racism characterises his moral integrity and his empathetic nature. In Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird, many notable themes arise, but the most prevalent theme is undeniably the theme of man’s inhumanity to man. At the beginning of the novel, we are introduced to Scout Finch, who is naive and oblivious to the discrimination that occurs in Maycomb. However, through many events and through meeting many characters, we soon begin to realize that the world may not be so nice after all. Our suspicions are only confirmed once we witness the terrible injustices that occur during the trial.
The story, To Kill a Mockingbird is a very fine novel which exemplifies the life in the south and the human rights and values given to everybody. The book especially took the case of prejudice to a serious extreme. From the title, a mockingbird through the eyes of Harper Lee, is a person who has fallen victim to vicious stereotypes. The title To Kill a Mockingbird explains itself quite clearly in the end of the novel when Tom Robinson, one of the mockingbirds, is killed due to the stereotypes dumped upon him. Often, the use of stereotypes just breaks down the real truth of a person.

In the novel, one of the main characters is the father of the narrator, Atticus Finch. He is portrayed as a just character with common social grace. First of all, mockingbirds constantly reappear throughout the novel for they are significant symbols. Mockingbirds are beautiful birds that are known for their remarkable voices. These birds are first introduced when Atticus instructs the children on how to use the toy riffles.
