Recommended: Importance of marriage to roman catholics

The meaning of ‘being human’ - Catholic people believe the meaning of ‘being human’ is a very strong part of their faith and commitment to life.The meaning of also ‘being human’ to the catholics is having a purpose in life, this could be through a number of connections to the world and faith such as being spiritual, physical, social, emotional and intellectual “God is spirit”. Each of these connections have many different meanings and effects on every person within the world. They believe that being human means that they have a responsibility to share equal rights to all people within the world. Overall the catholics believe that everyone deserves the equal right to have the same opportunities and rights in life and to show true faith to their religion through many connections such as being spiritual, physical, social, emotional and intellectual.

Marriage - Catholics believe that marriage comes as a gift from the hand of God. The Catholic vision of marriage is to unite a couple together for all of life in front of God to bless them and insure them a life of eternal love. It has these main aspects through marriage it unites a couple in faithful and mutual love, opens a couple to giving life and reproducing Gods greatest creation, is a way to respond to God’s call to holiness and follow in his faith and calls the couple to be a sign of Christ’s love in the world and live happy lives in the arms of God. Overall it is important that married people follow in the words of the lord and preach what he has given and share their bond forever, live happy and be selfless.

Sex - The catholics are very strict on sex and its use, they do not condemn that people go out and have sex for the fun of it but love someone and marry before a couple...

If you were a young person living by these rules and faith it would give you a lot more meaning in life and better connection to the world. If people believe that they have this meaning its going to help them and lead them to a better life and give them reason to believe they are worth something to the world and have a true faith. They would also have the chance to reflect on themselves with god and make the right desciouse to benefit not only themselves but the community. Some of the things they may strive to live by such as faith, compassion, service, truth, justice and forgiveness to lead them to better side of life. They must always believe they are valued in society although they hay have struggle at some stage in their life. Overall these purposes could lead to a better personal meaning for a young person and their life.

Whether it is faith in the advice of your teacher, faith in a God or faith in a scientific theory, it is present. But what is faith? A definition of faith in a theory of knowledge context is the confident belief or trust in a knowledge claim by a knower, without the knower having conclusive evidence. This is because if a knowledge claim is backed up by evidence, then we would use reason rather than faith as a basis for knowledge . If we define knowledge as ‘justified true belief’, it can be seen that faith, being without justification, can never fulfill this definition, and so cannot be used as a reliable basis for knowledge. However, the question arises, what if a certain knowledge claim lies outside of the realm of reason? What if a knowledge claim cannot be justified by empirical evidence and reasoning alone, such as a religious knowledge claim? It is then that faith allows the knower to decide what is knowledge and what is not, when something cannot be definitively proved through the use of evidence. When assessing faith as a basis for knowledge in the natural sciences, the fact arises that without faith in the research done before us, it is impossible to develop further knowledge on top of it. Yet at the same time, if we have unwavering faith in existing theories, they would never be challenged, and so our progress of knowledge in the natural sciences would come to a standstill. Although I intend to approach this essay in a balanced manner, this essay may be subject to a small degree of bias, due to my own non-religious viewpoint.
