In a game of chess it is crucial that your king is always protected. Life is indeed a game of chess; only the king in this game is the children. Having a child at home; or worse not knowing where they are, is very dangerous because of what becomes of them eventually. Not allowing children to expand their minds and become proactive hurts them in the long run as it Improves you life span and you live healthier.(Harvard School of public health, the benefits of physical activity,www.hsph.harvard.edu) When kids are proactive or involved in something other than the television, it helps them physically, mentally, and even in their social lives.
When kids are not active in an extracurricular activity they often become depressed and socially uncomfortable, in some cases children become overweight and then it is really starts to go downhill. Doing sports encourages healthy strong bodies. Even being active and healthy will boost your confidence(Benefits of Being Active, www.teenweightwise.com). But even being a “couch potato” can be bad even for people who exercise. “Researchers followed more than 50,000 middle-aged women for six years, surveying their diet and activity habits. They found that for every two hours the women spent watching television each day, they had a 23 percent higher risk of becoming obese and 14 percent higher risk of developing diabetes. It didn't matter if the women were frequent exercisers: The more television they watched, the more likely they were to gain weight or develop diabetes, regardless of how much leisure-time activity and walking they did”(Cost of inactivty, harvard school of public health,www.hsph.harvard.edu).

To sum it all up, Having a child be physically active would defiantly increase their physical, mental and social skills. But the main factor is to just do it. Get your child, even you, to go exercise. When a parent is active with their child’s physical activities, it just encourages them to be more active and have fun with you. I'm glad my parents were able to push me to join a sport when I was young. After that first sport I joined numerous other sports and met a lot of kids who still are my friends till this very day. Even though when I was a child I would shut out everyone in my life, I will always remember my parents also on the sidelines cheering me on and being proud of me after that first game and after that I started opening up to them and enjoying their presence.

obesity is still a problem if children are required to take physical education classes. Furthermore, Cleaver brings to our attention that America should take into consideration the small amount of physical education students are receiving, and the amount of time they are being active in the classroom. students to live a physically active life that they choose to be a part of. This is our main goal, and this can 't be done if all we are doing is having our students simply run laps, as well as having a once a year testing that tells kids they are not fit, and test norms for comparisons. When we do this, we are not encouraging students to choose to be physically active, especially the ones that do not play sports. In many cases it is very evident that some students are not physically active, so when we
clothing sizes, or less visits to the doctor. Not only is there success physically, but gym classes are beneficial to the mind as well. Children who are physically fit absorb and retain new information more effectively than children who are out of shape. This raises the questions about if cutting physical education programs is a wise decision for schools to make. There is an apparent correlation between letting kids by physically active during school and having higher test scores in schools.

Obesity in childhood causes a wide range of serious complications, and increases the risk of premature illness and death later in life, raising public-health concerns.” (Ebbeling, Pawlak & Ludwig, 2002 p.471) Currently in the Australian community and schools there is an obesity epidemic in young people with many children doing less and less physical activity then advised. “In 2007-08 the National
other terms. I had not realized that I performed better in the classroom when I was able to be physically active during the day. Not only did I perform better, but observations have been made suggested that other students experience higher grades as well when having a gym class or participating in other physical activity during the day. Gym classes are beneficial to students and help them not only physically, but academically as well.

Now that’s not saying their social status isn’t equal; however, men and women are just not built the same physically. Through evolution men have become more physically inclined to hunt, fight and protect all the properties required for active combat; on the other hand women have evolved to mother children and go
When most people think of an early childhood classroom they think of children roaming around and all around them toys, lots and lots of toys.
