Have you ever been out in public, and thought about the multitude of people using cell phones around you? Have you ever thought about how inappropriate it is to use them in certain circumstances? The use of cell phones has been banned in countless restaurants and there are restrictions regarding them in many work places. In the same way, cell phones are being banned in many schools. The principal of my high school has banned the use of cell phone during school hours. I believe he has good reason to do so. Using cell phones during school could be the cause of enormous distractions. In addition, it would make it easier for students to cheat, and it is possible that there would be more bullying within the school. Isn’t learning what we go to school for? The use of cell phones during class would very likely cause many disruptions. Many students would be texting instead of focusing on what the teacher is attempting to teach. More than likely, not many students would take notes or complete their class work. For that reason, teachers will then have to waste time telling their students to put their phones away, and there is almost always a student who will not listen. Unquestionably, this will waste even more time. In addition, phones are also very noisy.
