INTRODUCTION

This report talks about CATAL HUYUK, its historical background and location. Furthermore, the report discusses the variable influences that Catal Huyuk went through, and then comes the system’s analysis. Passing through all these stages helps us to understand Catal Huyuk with the architecture perspective, which studies not only the walls and materials but also all relations between the surrounding landscapes.

Why Catal Huyuk? Well, because it is the architecture that belong to mmore than 8 000 before the present are, the ancestor of all architecture. Studying old architecture helps us understand more the current architecture and why we think the we do, and why we analyse the way we do now. “If you don’t know where you’ve been, you never know where you will be in the future”

Anatolia the heart of historical architecture and landscaping wonders located in what is known now as Turkey has been founded on one of the oldest and world’s first towns built,

Catal Huyuk is situated at the convergence of a river and a lush place for wheat fields, animals and humans.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND:

...gh Catal Huyuk was one of the first villages ever, and even though the houses were very simple and they were just what the people needed at that time, we can say that the architecture of it became after a while not satisfactory. The house lacked openings, it lacked the function partitioning… architecture always changes and evolves according to the person’s needs at a specific area.

“Architecture is the art of modifying space to serve a need through the fulfillment of specific functions.”

The question that should be asked is “does architecture focus on the person’s needs only or it is affected by the luxurious side of it?
