4 Critical Success Factors for TBWI
Critical success factors are elements that, if done properly, will determine the success of an organization (Brown, C.V., Dehayes, D.W., Hoffer, J.A., Martin, E.W., and Perkins, W.C., 2012, p. 527). One critical success factor is to focus on what the organization really need (Business Intelligence Software Comparison, 2014). Determining what the need is the first step for an organization to be successful. If the organization cannot determine their needs, then how would they know where to start? Every need of the organization from what type of desktop system to software needed should be determine first in order for the organization to be successful.

A mission statement express the core purpose of an organization and its reason for existence. Mission statements are vital to an organization because they communicate and set the foundation of the purpose of their existence. They shape the attitudes and behaviors of the members of the organization and the perceptions of the public (Hess, 67).
A mission statement should define the organization, why they exist, who they are serving, and what products and services they offer (Aguinis, 2013). Aguinis (2013) includes eight components for a good mission statement. These components are products or services offered, customers being served, benefits to their products or services, technology being used, growth and profitability, managerial philosophy, public image, and self-concept of business by the employees and stockholders (Aguisis, 2013).
This mission statement is clear, they want to be the best in fashion. A mission statement is a summary of the values and aims of a company. The mission statement of a company is usually directed at those looking to buy shares rather than the customers themselves. ASOS currently has around 4,000 employees despite being a global company; as ASOS is based online, then less employees are needed to help run the business.
A mission statement is a powerful message that companies or organizations set to be the focus and reason behind why or how they manage things. They are used to help their potential members, employees, or buyers understand their passion. It is of great importance that the mission statement is upheld or it becomes ineffective. These statements are written differently, but they are used for the common objective. The mission statement at Spring Hill College is a well written statement that uses effective style, has a clear focus, and can be interpreted by a varying audience.

I agree that a mission statement should be formulated after consultation and careful discussion. Holding meetings to discuss the mission and objective of an organization is a long painful process but is something that must be done to reach consensus. A mission statement should be articulated to defines an organization’s primary customers and products, and services.
In the beginning, businesses used information technology for automating the processes primarily to reduce labor costs. Subsequently, information technology is used for delivering information with speed and accuracy.
Critical success factors (Rockart, 1979) methodology focuses on identifying key information needs of senior executives and building information systems around those key needs.
In today’s virtual society our office experience is getting more and more dependent on cyber culture. Due to the increase in employees working at home, virtual offices have become a convenient way for staff, clients, educators, students and all other types of business people to stay connected. Teleconferencing, skyping, e-mails, and texting have become mainstream ways of conducting business so it seems pertinent that businesses learn to effectively create and conduct virtual teams.
For the past couple of decades the majority of businesses have wanted to construct a data-driven organization or company. Furthermore, companies around the world are considering harnessing data as a basis of competitive advantage over other companies. As a result, business intelligence and data science use are popular in many organizations today. The increase in adoption of these data systems is in response to the heavy rise in communications abilities the world over. Which, in turn ,has increased the need for data products. Indeed, the Data Scientist profession is emerging to be one of the better-paying professions due to the urgent need of their labor. This paper is going to discuss what business intelligence is all about and explain data science that is usually confused to be similar to business intelligence. I will tackle a brief overview of data scientists and their role in organizations.
According to a study by Dr. Kirthi Kalyanam, who obtained his doctorate in Business Administration, “88% of consumers are researching items online and then buying in a physical store.” (Kalyanam) This signifies that a big measure of consumers use the data that they have obtained online, largely triggered by advertisements, when they undergo the decision making process when buying a product/service in a store. Since the consumer has already explored the product online, the decision making process is cut down significantly and the consumer almost always buys the merchandise that they have already searched. This research that they conduct is mostly sparked by an online advertisement which the consumer sees about the product. The advertisement usually doubles as a hyperlink to the product’s website, making it simple and easy for consumers to find more about the
The dynamics of our society bring many challenges and opportunities to the business world. Within the last decade, hundreds of jobs have emerged particularly in the technology sector to help keep up with the ever-changing world and to compete on a larger and better scale than the competition. Two key job markets and the basis of this research paper are business intelligence or BI and data mining or DM. These two fields play a very important role in small to large companies and are becoming higher desired sectors within the back offices of the workplace. This paper will explore what the meaning of BI and DM really is, how they are used and what we can expect as workers and learners of the technology and business fields for the future.

A company’s mission is just a big goal that needs to be accomplished within a certain amount time and should support the company’s overall vision. Within the organizations mission there can be smaller goals which need to be achieved to attain the mission. A mission statement will describe, “the purpose of the company, and/or what the company strives to do” by a certain time. (Hill, Jones, & Schilling, 2015). “A mission statement communicates the organization’s reason for being, and how it aims to serve its key stakeholders. Customers, employees, and investors are the stakeholders most often emphasized, but other stakeholders like government or communities (i.e., in the form of social or environmental impact) can also be discussed” (Carpenter, Bauer, & Erdogan, 2015). Mission statements are often longer and more in-depth than vision statements and are usually have a shorter time period associated with
