Britian´s First and Second Industrial Revolution

Although there are many different thoughts on when the Industrial Revolution took place and the time span of it, but there were two distinct and different eras which took place. This paper will discuss Britain’s First Industrial Revolution and the Second Industrial Revolution by comparing and contrasting the two distinctly different eras.
England was the starting place of the First Industrial Revolution which started in approximately 1733 when the demand for cotton cloth was in high demand but the production was low by inventor John Kay, a British weaver who pioneered the “flying shuttle, which cut weaving time in half” . Many inventions over the following years were destroyed because people did not embrace this new type of progress but by 1750 the First Industrial Revolution began although strictly limited to cotton weaving machines. The spinning jenny, water powered frame were machines designed to spin yarn faster and helped speed up the manufacturing of cotton goods.
