Breaking the Habit of Smoking

Smoking is a dangerous habit it causes physical harm to those who smoke as well as those around the smokers.
“Close to 393,000 people die each year from the effects of smoking. Over 50,000 people die each year from the effects of second-hand smoke Smoking causes several health issues that are not necessarily life-threatening.” (HealthCare.gov) People who smoke are more likely to miss work because of smoking related illness. Smokers are more susceptible to influenza, colds, and other common illnesses. Not only does smoking cause serious health issues, the cost of smoking is outrageous. Some people would spend up to twenty to thirty dollars a week to support their habit. This money could be used for food and gas, which are far more important. These facts are some of the few reasons why it is important to break the habit of smoking.
Some of the dangers of tobacco are that it can make you have lung cancer. Tobacco smoke is a toxic mixed with more than 7,000 chemicals. Most of them are poisons. At least 70 of them are known to cause cancer in people or animals. Those who smoke are fifteen to thirty tomes more likely to get lung cancer or even die from lung cancer than people who do not smoke. A person who smokes for years and more and that smokes more cigarettes each day bigger the risk is. The people that quit smoking have a lot lower risk of lung cancer than they would if they would have keep smoking, but their risk of lung cancer is still a lot higher than the people who never had smoked. Smoking does not just cause cancer in the lungs it can cause it anywhere in your body such as your mouth, nose, throat and a lot more other places. ... affects their body as to the little things to have bigger things. Plus how it affects the people that are around you. Instead of a smoke break at work or a smoke break at home play a game on your computer. Just even take the time to reorganize your desk or reorganize your living room. The point is to do something else them to go smoke. When you stop smoking throw out all of your lighters and matches. Then if that does not help just go talk to your doctor to see if he or she can give you better information on how to quit smoking.
