Introduction
Lou Ferrigno, a Bodybuilder an actor and a fitness trainer. He has become an inspiration to bodybuilders around the world. Lou Competed for many years and is one of the most popular bodybuilders of all time. He is known for his acting as the incredible hulk in the CBS television show. He overcame his hearing loss and used it to push himself to become a superstar. Lou still continues to affect the world of bodybuilding by training people in fitness and health.
Biography
Louis Jude Ferrigno was born November 19th 1951(Lou Ferrigno). As a child Lou Ferrigno lost the majority of his hearing around 75-80% of it (Lou Ferrigno). This was not diagnosed till the age of three. He did not allow this to hold him back from achieving greatness. Lou Ferrigno is one of the two most recognized bodybuilders of this generation. He has won numerous bodybuilding competitions and has acted and voiced in dozens of movies and television broadcasts. He became an American icon when he received the part as the Incredible Hulk in the CBS television broadcast. Lou Ferrigno had started to train with the barbell at the age of thirteen (Lou Ferrigno). Since a teenager he has looked up to two people, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Steve Reeves, who was the original Hercules, a role Lou would later play himself. In order to support his bodybuilding career he had to work in a metal factory. Due to the increasingly hazardous conditions his coworker had a serious injury that forced him to have his hand amputated (Lou Ferrigno). After this incident Lou went on to find a new means of support.
In 1971 Lou entered his first contest, Pro Mr. America (Bodybuilding). Standing at six foot five inches and weighing two hundred and eighty five pounds Lou Ferrigno...

Acting
Lou Ferrigno had begun his Filming career in the CBS television show the incredible hulk. He had won this role over a fellow bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger. He had become widely known as the green skinned goliath. Lou Ferrigno pursued the art of acting for seventeen years. During this time he had done multiple films of European fantasy films. He had taken the role of his idol as Hercules in the 1983 film. He had played Sinbad in the 1989 movie “Sinbad and The Seven Seas”. Lou Ferrigno went on to voice the hulk when he had been replaced by CGI version of the hulk. He has been the voice of The Incredible Hulk up to the block buster hit “The Avengers”. Lou Didn’t let his hearing loss affect his acting; it in fact helped him when playing the hulk because he was better at facial expressions.
Two thunderous voices can be seen in the arts during the late 20th century. James Earl Jones is well known for his roles in Hollywood films such as “Dr. Strangelove” and “Star Wars”, and has an even greater presence in the theatre community. His achievements as an actor were inspired by his hardships growing up, for he had a strong stutter until high school. Similarly, Geoffrey Holder suffered from a speech impediment at a young age, but would become a well-known artist. Holder is recognized for many different fields, he is an actor, dancer, choreographer, painter, and more. James Earl Jones and Geoffrey Holder overcame similar issues with speech, and built personalities around their professions, which were shown in all of their great works. Now they are known for their beautiful accomplishments, as well as their powerful voices.
Arguably the most popular — and certainly the busiest — movie leading man in Hollywood history, John Wayne entered the film business while working as a laborer on the Fox Studios lot during summer vacations from university, which he attended on a football scholarship. He met and was befriended by John Ford, a young director who was beginning to make a name for himself in action films, comedies, and dramas. Wayne was cast in small roles in Ford's late-'20s films, occasionally under the name Duke Morrison. It was Ford who recommended Wayne to director Raoul Walsh for the male lead in the 1930 epic Western The Big Trail, it was a failure at the box office, but the movie showed Wayne's potential as a leading actor. During the next nine years, be busied himself in a multitude of B-Westerns and serials — most notably Shadow of the Eagle in between occasional bit parts in larger features such as Warner Bros.' Baby Face. But it was in action roles that Wayne excelled, exuding a warm and imposing manliness onscreen to which both men and women could respond.

In conclusion, Lou Gehrig was and will always be an American hero to many people. His ability to play 2,130 consecutive games (“Great Athletes” 11) with many broken bones and other injuries is a feat that only a few will be able to accomplish. Not to mention the many awards and records the Iron horse has set and achieved. The people that had the opportunity to watch him play are very lucky. Not many players like Lou Heinrich Gehrig AKA the Iron Horse come along often.
A hero is not just the title of an action-packed character who saves the day but can be anyone who lives and creates history, such as legendary baseball player Lou Gehrig. Gehrig, Henry Louis ("Lou") (June 19, 1903 - June 2, 1941), baseball player, better known as Lou Gehrig, was born in the Yorkville section of Manhattan in New York City. Gehrig was the only child of Heinrich and Christina (Pack) Gehrig that survived adult hood. Naturally shy, he was still a strapping, broad-shouldered boy, he spent long hours playing baseball and football on the sandlots and in the schoolyards of New York City. He attended the High School of Commerce, where he excelled at both sports. His power on the gridiron brought him to the attention of Buck O'Neill, the football coach at Columbia College finally recruited him. After being highly successful in both Baseball and Football during college, Paul Krichell head scout for the New York Yankees spotted Gehrig at a game and immediately signed him in 1923, after the close of the Columbia baseball season; Gehrig left college to join the Yankees. The Hulk fought against a Russian agent, Mongu, who wanted to learn about his strength. Then later saved Betty from an underground ruler then battled with the Chinese General Fang (Incredible Hulk #5). Yet, despite doing all this good, the Hulk was blamed for espionage and the Fantastic Four were called in to take him down (The Hulk vs. the Thing!). Another example of this clash is during the Avengers’ Initiative.
