Piers Morgan, Journalist, Editor, Author, and Television personality, is one of the most known journalists of this century. Also known as “Piers Moron” for his controversial, and outspoken yet influential news reporting. He has made a name for himself in both America and Britain. Starting off as a local reporter, Piers has journeyed through multiple journalistic media outlets, finally landing a spot in the big leagues of television. After taking over the night – time television spot, previously owned by Larry King, Piers currently graces our TV screens with his brutal opinions and raw news coverage.
Piers was born as Piers O’Meara on March 30, 1965 in East Sussex, England. Piers’ father, Vincent O’Meara, died when Piers was very young. Years later his mother re-married officially changing his name to Piers Pughe – Morgan. His mother and step-father owned a local pub which helped pay for him to go to private school; some years later his parents were no longer able to afford private school, so Piers was sent Chailey’s public school in east Sussex.
Pier’s parents were considered conservative and they strongly supported Margaret Thatcher, which could influence his strong avocation of guns.
In the Piers Morgan attended Harlow College where he studied Journalism. He then landed his first job as a reporter In Surrey, London early 1980s. In 1989 he joined The Sun where he became the editor for the entertainment columns. His parents, Edward Crowley and Emily Bertha Bishop, raised Crowley in a stringent atmosphere influenced by devoted Victorian and devout religious values. First a successful brewer, his father later became a staunch preacher before his death by cancer when Crowley was only eleven years old.
