Biography of Cesc Fabregas The rise to stardom of a young soccer sensation by the name of "Francesc Cesc Fabregas Soler" has been nothing short of remarkable. At the end of that season Fabregas was voted the player of the tournament at the 2003 FIFA Under-17 World Championship and won the Golden Boot after his six goals helped Spain reach the final. It was that tournament that finally made his manager finally decided to thrust him into the spotlight and the following season saw the Spaniard make the breakthrough into the first-team proper, when he was selected to appear in the Charity Shield match against Manchester United.
