Billie Holiday was an African-American and she was born in April, 7, 1915 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She had no formal music education when she was step into the stage of the club platform to sing. She had an amazing voice and several producers appreciated her talents and promoted her to become a recognition jazz singer. Her addiction of drugs and alcohol ultimately damaged her liver and heart. She was pledged to guilty in court when the police found a possession of an illegal substance in her New York City apartment. She passed away in the hospital near the Upper East Side due to liver failure.
Billie Holiday was the biological child of Sadie Fagan and Clarence Holiday. Sadie was thirteen when she had Holiday. At the same time, Clarence was an irresponsible father who did not care about his daughter's Billie. From Holiday's early life, she grew up in a broken family. In other words, Holiday had no provider to support her throughout her childhood and Sadie who was struggling financially as a teen mom that often neglect the time to take care of Holiday. Therefore, Holiday's childhood was missing love from both parents. For example, Sadie worked as a server on the passenger railroad. Holiday’s aunt took care of her for the most of the times. .Holiday was frequently running away from school. As a result of that, she sent to the House of the Good Shepherd for nine months starting from March 19th, 1925 to October 3rd, 1925. As a young girl, Holiday was forced to drop out of school at the age of eleventh without receiving much education from the beginning of her childhood. Holiday's mom discovered that her neighbor named Wilbur Rich was raping her daughter's Holiday. The court decided to send Holiday to the House of the Good Shepher...

On the other hand, I think money is also initiates her motivation or curiosity to become a drug abuser. Overall, I think Billie Holiday is a very talented person. I learned that her opportunity of success coming from her preparation from practicing her voice and vocal. It is clear that someone who is trying to improve one’s life has a better chance to success in life than to those who do not try would merely gain anything in return. The lesson is those who do not try would merely gain anything in return.

By the end of the century, she could look back at a life that was never short on conflict, but that could be seen ultimately as a triumph.
