The greatest gift someone can receive from another is his or her faith. Faith in someone indicates that even though they cannot see the rest of the road, they harbor enough trust to take the first step. Many religions call for their followers to have unwavering faith, even when certain stories or situations may lead them to question its veracity. The followers of Yahweh generally reap rewards for their confidence and loyalty in their Lord. On the other hand, God usually punishes their adversaries. The aforementioned statement means a person’s faith determines the degree of the benefaction. The people in the Old and New Testament perform and receive miracles based on the level of their faith in God.
Elijah is not the first prophet in the Bible, but he is one of the first who receives public miracles directly from Yahweh. Elijah never questions Yahweh and possesses an unwavering faith for his Lord. Elijah believes so strongly in God that he pours water on the wooden pile before a sacrifice, which each god (Baal or Yahweh) needs to light, just so all can see how powerful his Lord is. Elijah never questions any command given by Yahweh: “Elijah went and did as the Lord said” (Roche 234). Elijah responds with this, when given a task, and because he never disputes or challenges him, God rewards Elijah willingly, when the prophet needs a miracle. This divine covenant is made apparent when he asks God to light the soaking wet wood; a lightning bolt immediately ignites the bullock and wood into an impressive fire. Faith alone leads to the fulfillment of Elijah’s prayer, which sets an example for future people who desperately need miracles.

Jesus, Daniel, and Elijah, bring stories of how faith and faith alone leads to spectacular miracles. The extreme faith from the prophets and the people show that even if one does not think it will happen, but they believe that through God their prayers will be answered . Although people do not document amazing divine inspired miracles daily, in modern times, the stories from the bible show us that the most powerful thing a person can have in another is unrestricted, untainted, and complete faith.

Introduction The book of Daniel is one of the great books of the Bible and also one of the most debated books in the Bible. It contains details of the ministry of Daniel and some of the most perplexing and fulfilled prophecies. Christians often think that prophecy is not very difficult and a straight forward propositional prediction and fulfillment, but it is more complex than that. The interpretation of the apocalyptic genre is one of the main reasons for its difficulty. Today one of these perplexing passages from Daniel will be examined.
In Matthew, the two blind men and the centurion step out in faith by asking Jesus to heal. This shows how faith leads to action. In the story of the blind men, faith leads to action when two blind men shout out to Jesus. The crowd around them rebuked them, and said for them to be quiet. They heard the people, and ignored them yelling louder for Jesus. They had faith that Jesus could hear them and that he would come to them. Jesus came over to them, and asked what they needed him to do. “we want our sight,” they said. Jesus touched their eyes and healed their vision.(Doc. 1) This shows how faith lead to action because the men had faith that Jesus would hear their calls, he did and healed their eyes.
The book reveal that when you have faith in something and you exercising the faith anything can be possible. Having faith is a unique feeling that not everyone has experienced. There are many ways to be connected with god and one is to embrace our differences that we have with our humans being. As we get spiritually engaging with god and with our self being, we change the way we act and think about our actions and admit our sins.

The Book of Daniel is the only full-blown apocalyptic book in the Protestant recognized version of the Canon. A literary device divides the book into two halves. Chapters 1-6 are a collection of stories that introduces the reader to Daniel and three other Israelites as unwilling guests of the Babylonia Empire ruled by Nebuchadnezzar. The second half, Chapters 7-12 consists of apocalyptic imagery of deformed beasts and the heavenly court. The focus of this paper will be on chapter 7, which serves as a bridge of the two halves. Chapter 7 is the earliest of the visions as it identifies with the genre of 8-12 while through language and content it reverts to Daniel chapter 2. The linguistic break down is not as neat as the literary divide in that Dan. 2:4b-7:28 was written in Aramaic while other portions of the book is written in Hebrew.
God uses Jesus to help the population in all different ways. Jesus helps the blind see, he clothes the poor, and overall, can cure anyone who is worthy. God shows his presence through Jesus so the people of earth have someone to follow. Even today we see God work his wonders even without the presence of Jesus. God shows miracles which no one would believe if they were not reality. God’s presence in the world is mediated through nature and reality as seen in the readings of The Gospel of Matthew and The Book of Exodus.
The New Testament is primarily about Jesus’ ministries and teachings. As Jesus traveled from country to country during his last three years on earth, He performed many miracles and healings of sick, lame, and demon-possessed people. As a student, I can relate to this tremendously, since I am studying pre-physical therapy. "A physical therapist can help injured or ill people improve their movement and manage their pain. These therapists are often an important part of rehabilitation and treatment of patients with chronic conditions or injuries (Occupational Outlook Handbook-Physical Therapists, 2014)." Similarly to Jesus, I can help people and maybe even help heal their injuries as a physical therapist. However, Jesus is the ultimate healer that can work through me to make this possible.
God can do amazing things through ordinary people. God can and will do the same through us if we fully submit ourselves to Him.
...el had faith and God delivered him from his circumstance. This has taught me that He will help deliver me from my hard circumstances if I just have faith in Him. The next thing I learned was that I need to stand up for my faith. Daniel was not ashamed to pray to God even though he knew the consequences. I should not be afraid of what the consequences are because persecution comes with being a Christian. I need to stand up for God. The final thing I learned was to not be of the world. King Nebuchadnezzar wanted Daniel to worship an image of gold. Daniel refused because the only person or thing you should worship is God. I should not worship things of the world like King Nebuchadnezzar but rather worship God like Daniel did. Daniel is a good person to model regarding your trust and faith in God and also standing up for your Savior and not being of the world.
The word prophet means to speak by delegated authority (Paterson 3). Prophets speak because they are commanded to by a higher power (Paterson 4). Their beliefs were the beliefs of the living god and to make god visible to their people (Paterson 8). They also believed that "life was unity and every thought and activity had to be brought into subjection to god (Paterson 9)." The prophets also stood for religious integrity (Paterson 10).
