I have visited a lot of places around the world. Traveling is fun to me and its very interesting to me. Looking to learn more history about countries with their cultures trying new things around their culture their past because if you wanna look at the future of somthing look at the past. Lets start out with my favorite place my homeland Bosnia. I went there so far 4 times in my life 2000 , 2005 , 2008 and 2010. The reason I visit there is too see my Grandmother’s and Grandfather’s grave. I see all my family around it and visit my camp. We cook our amazing lamb that we put lots of salt on it so its really salty. I love visiting my other Grandfather and Grandmother's house where we make more awesome food like our beef sausage and our special pumpkin pie and we have to make it together or we would break the tradition. We love visiting around the country and around Europe to. We love seeing the capital which is Sarajevo , all Churches around the city the major canals around the city which you can ride in a fairy in the canal. After we visit going around the city and the canal we go ou...
Ben Feinberg wrote What Students Don’t Learn Abroad about how students will go to other countries, but when they are asked “what they learned” (Feinberg 1) they answer by saying things like, “I became a risk-taker, or I can do anything I put my mind to” (Feinberg 1-2), but they do not share anything about what the other country was like, instead they talk about how the trip changed them, or taught them something about themselves that they did not already know.
If I were to go anywhere for just 12 hours it would be Tikal, Guatemala. It’s so pretty and green there with lots of unique animals like monkeys, parrots, coatis and turkeys, which you can only see at zoos in America but in Guatemala they just roam around everywhere in the jungles. The weather is very nice as well, It is always warm and very humid but it feels great. It is an awesome place to learn new things, volunteer to help people that are in poverty since it is a third world country, and it's an awesome place to relax and have a good time! Guatemala is very family friendly and people of all ages will enjoy anything you decide to do. It's very different than anything that there is in the United States.
I love traveling as well, so if I ever have a chance, I would choose to go around the world and help people, especially people in Africa, and Vietnam. In 2010 I participated the Red Cross to help seniors living in remote area of Western Vietnam. They lived in poor conditions, eating malnutritioned food without noticing that they were poisonous. I met a little boy there who couldn’t read or write because he was suffering from dyslexia disease, or an old man who cried after he’s given a pair of glasses after years livi...
new people as well as see new cultures. It has always been a dream of mine to travel
One place I would absolutely love to see again is Washington D.C. I went there once with my parents and my brother. On the way to Washington D.C. we had stopped at Georgia and North Carolina and stayed at each place for a few days. When we went, we stayed at my dad’s cousin’s house. Since my dad’s cousin lived in Washington D.C. we didn’t have to drive everywhere, so we just walked. So, while we were staying in D.C., we saw a lot of different sights. For example, we saw Lincoln’s Memorial, Washington’s Memorial, and even saw the White House. While we were there we also checked out a bunch of historical museums.
Being born in one of the greatest nations in the world gives great privilege to curious minds that want to travel and continue the pursuit of discovery. As I am an inquiring mind, I often enjoy learning
It was interesting to see that nearly all of our participants had travelled out of the country. Some of our interviewees had even been to more than 10 different countries. One girl that was a participant in particular had been to over an incredible 20 countries such as Italy, Germany, France and Hong Kong, more incredibly at only age 16. She said that she loves going to new countries and getting a feel for how different cultures live, and to be able to learn their cultural customs during her ventures. Another insight provided from our interviews was that only just this year, a 19 year old student went on a month long trip to India with his family. As his mother was from India; this trip involved meeting relatives for the first time and getting in touch with the culture his biological background presented. He described this opportunity as the best thing he’s ever done. It is safe to assume that this month long voyage would have provided meaningful insight towards his growing global mindset.
The definition of travel is now extended to changing location in order to work, to study, or to refresh oneself. Whether it is at workplace, or at school, travelling and experiencing new cultures is always encouraged.
I want to start traveling as soon as next year, I plan to study abroad to Spain. I want to travel to all the major cities around the world and start a collection of all the things I bring back through the years. The farthest I have ever traveled has been to Mexico and that has been one of the best times of my life. Both of my Mothers siblings have all traveled to Europe many times and have brought in back so many pictures and souvenirs that have made me that much more interested In traveling just like they have. I feel that I need to travel In order to experience as much of the world before I
...resting and wonderful. I had the opportunity to do and see things others may never have the chance to see. I feel very fortunate for having this opportunity. The differences and similarities in architecture and in paintings were a pleasure to witness. I enjoyed the culinary art of each of these countries as well. The way the food was presented was very artistic, almost like it is a painting. The streets themselves were works of art with the way all the cobblestones were placed. The art experienced on this trip was very insightful, it helped me to understand the different art styles of people and time eras. I feel very lucky to have had the chance to see some of the places where history was made. I feel changed for the better having been on this journey.
I really did enjoy researching the Bahamas. I learned a lot that I would have never know about it. I never realized that the Bahamas is a packed place with families living there plus on top of that all the tourism that they get there. Its very interesting that their tourism is making the island survive. After researching the Bahamas I would recommend people to go there and explore the cultural that they have there.
The world is full of wonders and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, that we take advantage of. Traveling is the ultimate education and it never fails as a teacher. It teaches you things no class can about the world and yourself. Seeing a historical spot and being in the environment it is in teaches you what no text book can. Most people hear about what is happening in the world through the bias not understanding media. However, if you are a traveler the real world influences you in a way the media will never be able to. We understand how the world works with its many cultures and lifestyles. Being a part of and experiencing different cultures broadens your views of the world and changing’s what you think of the world. Having expanded knowledge and understanding about culture is not the only thing travelers have. Finding your true self and learning about who you are is the best thing about being a traveler. There is no better way to find yourself because when you travel you open yourself up to millions of opportunities. Without travel you may be completely unaware of your true persona. Your limits are tested and you are completely out of your comfort zone when traveling. Getting out of the comfort zone helps you grow as a person and see your potential. I have experienced many different cultures that have personally changed myself and my outlook of the world. Traveling has given me the greatest education I know more about the world, cultures, and myself. Being a traveler is a huge blessing in my life I am so glad I am able to travel and see the world. Nothing can take away the memories that traveling and being a traveler has brought me. Get out there and see this beautiful world for yourself and become a traveler, you will not regret
It is my favorite place to go because of how beautiful it is and how happy it makes me feel. I believe that being in places that make me happy is important to me. That also applies to other things too.
One of my greatest hobbies is travelling the globe and I love to see new places. I enjoy experiencing new environment and culture. There are many countries to visit around the world and each country has something unique to offer. In every country, there are many beautiful places to see and tradition to learn. However, the country I have always wanted to visit is Italy. Italy is located in Europe and it is famous for its ancient history, architectural heritage, culture and even food. It is my dream to visit Italy with my family one day.
Out of many places I visited all around the world, the place I like the most is the beautiful city of Agra. It’s a quite town located on the North of India. When we talk about Agra one image that comes in mind is Taj Mahal. Yes one of the seven wonders is here. Agra is full of architectural monuments. And I also visited Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, and Buland Darwazaand. Food was not really good. Besides Taj Mahal, Agra is famous for handicrafts, leather and fine arts. It was fun shopping at Agra.
