The video game “Batman: Arkham Origins” is a very bold and enticing tale into the Batman mythology. The game tells an epic tale in a lively vivid Gotham City and puts you in the cape and cowl of Batman himself using everything he possess at his disposal; both in his skills as a detective and his legendary arsenal of gadgets. It is Christmas Eve and Batman has a fifty million dollar bounty on his head set by the criminal Black Mask. Set in the second year of Bruce Wayne’s crime fighting career. You play as the Dark Knight himself as he first encounters some of his most legendary villains: The Joker, Bane, The Penguin, and The Riddler are just a few of the enemy’s in the game from Batman’s legendary Rouge Gallery. The game has been compared with earlier titles in the series such as “Batman: Arkham City”. Where it has received praise for a better story as well as gameplay mechanics, other games it has been compared to would be the open world adventure “Assassins Creed” and the rich story filled “Uncharted: Drakes Adventure”. All three games sharing solid gameplay choose your own way open world adventure, as well as winning awards for their robust story.
The game is a lively vivid imagination of what it would be like to wear the cowl of Batman. The city is alive with interactivity. A blizzard is blanketing Gotham City, wind is tearing through the night sky even slowly pulling apart Batman’s cape as he fights his way through the night. The cold storm and the razor sharp wind are as dangerous as the lunatics that inhabit the once great city. There are signs of criminal activity everywhere, Joker’s thugs have spray painted clowns all over Gotham Royal Hotel, Two-Faces men have defaced the City Hall’s justice statue, even the crooke...

Gliding through the skyline as Batman can have its troubles with small cramped spaces and bad controls it can be hard to glide the right way. Sometimes the gadgets would not respond until you repeatedly hit the corresponding buttons and hoped for the best.
Overall “Batman: Arkham Origins” is an amazing game. Batman fans all the way down to just action gamers who have never read a Batman comic can enjoy this game. Thrills, chills, mystery, and imagination run ramped through this amazing tale in the dark world of Gotham City. The game does an amazing job putting you in the role of Batman, from the gadgets to the detective work, to bringing Gotham City alive. If you have never played the “Batman: Arkham” series yet do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of “Batman: Arkham Origins” I’m glad I did.

This could easily be a scene from 9/11, however we see Batman looking grimly on as a poster advertises the film will be released soon. Clearly this film plays on the fears of terrorism. As depicted in The Dark Knight, the Joker plays the terrorist, while Gotham’s leadership struggles to contain him. The film departs from the superhero ideals of pure good versus pure evil, showing a murky world where moral decisions have to be made in order to stop evil. Because of this, The Dark Knight seems to be an allegory for the War on Terrorism. This paper will look at how the Joker represents terrorism, while Batman represents George Bush and his administration’s War on Terror.
In conclusion my expectations were met because we all want to be a certain hero in our everyday lives but sometimes don’t know which one is actually the better and more positive one. Strength, power, intelligence, and authority are the most important things the outlaw hero and official hero will bring even if they are above a certain rule or really beneath it. Outlaws are not always the bad guys, but are not always the good guys either. In this case Batman is the good guy disguised as the bad guy. Official heroes are always the good guys no matter the circumstance. Superman in this case is the good guy disguised as the actual good guy. Being above the law or against it, official heroes and outlaw heroes will always paint the picture that you can be strong, powerful, intelligent, and have the authority you deserve.

The purpose of this paper is to provide the reader with an insight into the Super Hero Series Batman. This crime fighter originally appeared in Detective Comics issue #27 in 1939. It later became a comic book series, a TV series and a movie series. The character Batman is second only to Superman as a Super Hero. Amazingly Batman has no super powers, but he does have a lot of neat crime fighting gadgets. There is a common theme and pattern throughout his films. In his films, they usually take place in a city, the parts of the city where crime is eminent. Between levels there are also some nice story sequences featuring a host of wacky characters, which drives the plot forward. It’s all pretty goofy, but the story of a lone pilot taking on the world (and more) is entertaining. The game features some nice designs for the various foes you face off against as well, including some big bosses, with our only gripe being the rather strange look of troops. However, this didn’t influence our enjoyment of the game much and it is something that the developers will apparently address in an future update along with the cramped look of the arenas. In the inky blackness, glistening lights shone bright. Making it easy to see the towering buildings of Gotham City. Overlooking the glittering city, stood the dark brooding hero known as Batman. His black, slick cape billowed with the breeze, as his alert eyes watched for trouble. His costume was charcoal gray, with his his yellow and black emblem on the top center of his chest. The emblem was of the creature of the night, the cave dweller, the bat. His cowl, just like his cape was dark black. He wears his dark yellow utility belt, it's contents have saved him more than can be counted. Now his eyes, they're cold and dark. If you were to look at his eyes, they would make you stop dead. He wore all of his attire, not just to hide his identity, but to also strike fear in the hearts of criminals.
