In the essay "Black Boy," Richard's alienation from his environment is a recurring theme. Despite his efforts to distance himself from the prejudice around him, white people persistently try to stereotype him as a typical southern black person. However, Richard is also alienated by his own people, perhaps even more so than by white people. From childhood to his teenage years, Richard was always a rebel, refusing to submit to the white man like other black people around him. Whites were afraid of Richard because he challenged the system they had created to ensure white supremacy. Some white people acted out their racist feelings to cover up their fear. Richard's relatives never understood him, and he was alienated from his family and his own people. Shorty, a young black boy who jokes about being beaten by white people, is someone Richard hates because he accepts what Richard finds disgusting. Richard contemplates transferring his hatred and frustration to other blacks, but he knows that will not help the situation. Richard is willing to leave school without a diploma rather than read a speech prepared by the principal that would have him say what the white power wanted him to say. Richard's refusal to conform to the expectations of white people and his own people alienated him from his environment.
The rules don’t always require taking revenge. Enemies can peacefully settle mar dushmani in one of two ways. First, if the murderer feels desperate because he thinks he will be killed he can sue for peace, but even doing this causes certain risks. Asking for mercy requires the murderer to enter his enemy’s guestroom holding his dagger with a piece of white cloth tied to its blade. “If he enters before his enemy kills him, he then must crawl under one of the string beds in the room.” He calls out from there, “Kill me! I am at your mercy,” says Keiser. The man suing for peace is not asking to be killed, but instead formally requesting that he accept compensation instead of seeking revenge. If the wronged party refuses to accept the plea he must find a close relative to remove the enemy from his house. The other option the wronged party has it to choose to settle the case peacefully by accepting compensation. Men usually pay compensation for murder in money, a sum of about four to six thousand dollars. Sometimes land and more rarely women in marriage are given. If this is accepted peace usually follows, but their still remains a certain risk. If certain relatives of the wronged do not receive any compensation they may still want to carry out mar dushmani and retaliate. This would include friends or distant relative who feels upset but was not compensated. The...

Immigrants came to the United States for a very significant purpose. Their purpose and goal is to take advantage of the opportunities in the land known as, “the land of opportunity.” Immigrants did not come here to damage the country or to over burden its inhabitants. That author states, “Many of our political leaders talk hard line about immigration reform even though they know our country is mired in its demand for the

Luke 6:45 states, “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” This is very true of Ludwig van Beethoven because what he believed affected his music. Beethoven was an extremely famous composer who helped transition the Classical era into the Romantic era. Composing from age 12 until his death in 1827, his music reflected his character. Although he is often considered a musical genius, which he is, his lack of God, and his lack of a spiritual life centered in Christ, affected his music, his view of life, and how he was remembered.
Ludwig van Beethoven was born in the town of Bonn, Germany on December 16 of 1770. Bonn is located in western Germany on the Rhine River. Beethoven showed an affinity for music at an early age. His father, Johann, taught Ludwig to play the piano as well as the violin. Johann did this in hopes that his son would become a prodigy, and then reach fame like Wolfgang A. Mozart. Unfortunately though Beethoven mother died when he was seventeen. In addition to his mother’s death Beethoven’s father developed an alcohol problem. To escape these problems Beethoven found a job tutoring the two children of the von Breuning family. This relationship proved to be beneficial to Beethoven. The matriarch of the family happened to be well liked in the town of Bonn, so she introduced Beethoven to a few important people.

In the autobiography Black Boy by Richard Wright, Wright’s defining aspect is his hunger for equality between whites and blacks in the Jim Crow South. Wright recounts his life from a young boy in the repugnant south to an adult in the north. In the book, Wright’s interpretation of hunger goes beyond the literal denotation. Thus, Wright possesses an insatiable hunger for knowledge, acceptance, and understanding. Wright’s encounters with racial discrimination exhibit the depths of misunderstanding fostered by an imbalance of power.

Ever since the 1970s, Australia has become a multicultural nation. Australia’s multiculturalism is a way to explain the variety of ethnic backgrounds within the Australian people. “It implies that there are many ways of being Australian, not just one ‘Australian way of life’” (Carter 333). Multiculturalism has majorly changed the way that people view Australian history and identity.
In 1800, Beethoven had wrote his first ever symphony. He was just 30 years old and already showing symptoms of hearing lost. This just shows how dedicated and genius Beethoven was. The whole idea of feminism is to be equal so why wouldn’t men have as much right as women to be feminist? Feminism isn’t just for women, it’s not the name that matters it’s the ideas and beliefs. Originally it was aimed at women, women were seen as inferior to men and it wasn’t until women started to fight for their rights that things started to change. Today women have come a long way and are no longer controlled by men but there is still not equality. It is often thought that being feminist means you are against men, but this is not the case, feminism effects both men and women. Neither man or woman has equality. Men are made to feel insecure because of the traits that society associate with male success. The idea that a man should be strong, confident and should be in control. Men are encouraged not to show emotion from a young age so that they are not seen as weak. No one should feel pressured to act or feel a certain way. Both men and women should be free to be whoever they want, if a man wants to be sensitive and a woman wants to be strong they should be able to do so without being discriminated. Traditionally women are seen as the housewives and even today it is still considered more natural for women to say at home and look after the children. Stay at home dads are seen as week, therefore men are discouraged from
The persistent violations against women is because of the men. Only the education of women rights to women is not sufficient. They understand their rights but if their partner are not supportive that understanding doesn’t works out alone. Men should be the first focus of behavioral and social education only after they will understand all the parts of equality and why it is important to treat women as a human being and why to respect them. Feminist and the responsible parts of the society should educate and train the men to avoid repeating hazards of social incumbent and to make this world better and a nicer place to live to all the human being equally.
