George Roy Hill's Film (Movie), The Sting
The Sting is a classic story of revenge for the death of a good friend. Instead of the revenge being an eye for an eye, Hill has the leading characters get their revenge by coning the ,man responsible for the death, out of his money. Within the first ten minutes you are grabbed into the film. Hill breaks the conformity of other films by making the leading characters con-men. This is very different from other films because these men should not be looked at as the good guys but just the opposite.
George Roy Hill's film, The Sting uses many forms of irony in the setting of the 1920's Chicago to show the theme of revenge for a friends death. Johnny Hooker played by Robert Redford is the main character in the film. The irony in the film is that he is the 'good guy' and is also a gambling addict and street con-man. Hill also uses other forms of irony, Henry Gandorf played buy Paul Newman owns a gamblingwhore house which has a giant carousal in the middle. The film starts out quickly and keeps up the pace as it goes on. The film is set up like a book its opening credits are shown over each page. The film is also split up into chapters each with its own title. When the title of the chapter shows up it looks like a piece of paper and is turned going into the next scene.
The movie is very clever, the plan for the sting is very tricky and surprising to the viewer. Hill shows us most of the plan but leaves out small parts for an ending surprise. Johnny and Henry are very witty and smart, they make us like them from the very beginning and they keep it up until the end. The two con-men meet on behalf of the death of a mutual friend. Before Johnny's friend died he told him of a great man who could teach him to work the big con. The great man is referring to Henry and the big con is something larger that pickpocketing and small tricks. Listening to the music gives you the idea of exactly the type of film it is. The Entertainer is played many times throughout the film and is the perfect song. The song fits the pace of the movie and it shows that it is both fun and serious.

Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction is one of the most daring, puzzling, and ultimately exciting pieces of cinema to hit the screen in years. As wholly original as it is a copy of hundreds of films before it about tales of hit-men and criminals, it dares you to step out of the dull and enter a colorful, exhilarating world that could only be Los Angeles. The intensity level of the movie is off the scale. People are laughing like crazy in the theater to the intelligent dialog and other scenes that have the audience gasping for air in shock over what just happened. Although one might say that Pulp Fiction is overly violent and disturbing, it is in fact, one of the greatest movies ever produced. Quentin Tarantino’s incredible screenplay, the intensity of the actors, and music to set the mood, created movie worthy five stars.
The Europeans had great agriculture. Since there was rich soil, they were able to harvest a lot. For example, cereal crops like wheat and barley. These were easy to store and also very easy to produce. All you had to do was scatter the seeds around in order to get the plant to start growing. Also, they were very high in calories so it filled you up quickly (Guns, Germs, and Steel Video). There were a lot of different plants to gather. Gathering was a lot easier and effecting than hunting. Most of the gathering was done by women.

The music in the movie was great it set the tone and mood of the movie. The beginning of the movie starts with ominous on the verge of creepy music. Also when Candy’s dog is about to be shot and the audience is viewing the bunkhouse were the ranch workers are and all you hear is silence and then hear the gunshot then hear Candy crying and then sad ominous music starts and that sets the mood of the scene. The music and sound of the movie determines how someone feels about the movie. The movie also does a spectacular job at showing the theme of the movie loneliness. They use Crooks to show the theme by him trying to explain to Lennie how he feels. The movie also shows loneliness with Curley’s wife she tells everyone that Curley does not pay any attention to
Moonrise Kingdom, directed by Wes Anderson, is a film that uncovers a heartwarming tale about young love, and investigates what it means to fit in. The film follows a pair of lovestruck children, creating a whimsical and young atmosphere full of innocence. This innocence is portrayed throughout the film, especially when one of the main protagonists states, “We’re in love. We just want to be together. What’s wrong with that.” This theme is supported greatly by using original scoring and popular music. Techniques alike to these can be derived from classic films such as George Lucas’s Star Wars films. Although his films utilize wall-to-wall scoring, this film uses original scoring to achieve similar effects. Also, by utilizing small orchestra

Many questions could arise as one contemplated those events. One of these questions would be: Why has the Arab Spring produced different results across the Middle East? This paper is a humble attempt to suggest some answers to this sort of these logical questions.
The music at the end of the first act was a reprisal of a song sang previously within the musical. The first time the song was song, it sounded like a lofty lullaby or folk tune. Titled “Tomorrow Belongs to Me,” the second time it is sung, it has a more mocking or ironic meaning than the previous time. At this point, the audience has already witnessed the unveiling of the Nazi flag and is aware of the Nazis’ presence, so they realize the fate to come of many of the characters as most are familiar with the Holocaust and what happened during World War II. This song, first thought to be sweet, has now been twisted into a menacing
The Social Motives in the Work Setting assessment begins by asking, “Why would I want to be a leader” (Bethel College, 2003, p. 33)? This can be a question difficult to answer due to the fact that it is probably something we don’t think about. As the results are calculated, the assessment offers three possible reasons why we choose to step into a leadership role. These include power, achievement, and affiliation. Based on the results, I am achievement orientated, I totally agree with ...
