Jennifer stopped running through the forest after doing so for what
seemed like eternity. She had no idea where she was, why she was here, or who
was chasing her. All she knew was that running for so long of a time made her
very hungry. Desperately, she looked around for something to eat, and her eyes
settled on a tall apple tree. Jennifer picked a couple and ate them as she
leaned against a maple tree while watching mother nature take its course.
She could see the sun was setting through the bright red leaves of the
forest trees. It was a cold October evening - so cold that she could see the
white puffs of steam coming out of her mouth. Soon it would be nighttime. That
meant that the temperature would fall so dramatically that she might get
hypothermia. Thus, she gathered up numerous dead brown leaves among the forest
floor and pushed them all over her body as she lay down on the cold black dirt.
Jennifer became worried that "the man" or one of his "best friends"
would find her. What would she do? She began searching for something sharp -
like a twig or a stone. Her hand enclosed on a smooth metal oval-shaped rock.
Then, she remembered that it was a swiss army knife which she stole from the
house as she made her escape. After shrugging off practicing how to use the
knife, Jennifer concluded that when the time came, she would know how to use it.
Being thoroughly exhausted did not ameliorate her survival instinct. She began
to become indifferent to her anxieties and needs. Finally, the silent sinister
hand of sleep had stricken her.
She dreamed about the past; how she got here. She relived all the major
milestones that happened in her life. She dreamt that when she was in high
school, her mother got into a car accident and died, in October. She dreamt her
father exploding and being constantly angry, in October. She dreamt of after not
being able to deal with her father, dropping out of school, in October. She
dreamt of running away from home, in October. She dreamt of the termination of
her career as a lounge singer after being signed by a major record company, in
October. She dreamt of her first album staying at the number one slot for eight
weeks, after being released in October.
After she became such a big star, Jennifer decided to make up with her
father. She went to her former home frequently to visit her father.
And that's saying a lot. Consider that she's already appeared in five television series, made seven albums, and starred in a major motion picture. She's sold over 24 million albums worldwide, achieved five Top Five hits from her 1986 record, Control and a record seven Top Five Hits from the 1989 Rhythm Nation 1814 album, four went to no.#1. She followed that up with a record breaking world tour, a movie and her self-titled album Janet.
Selena started her career in 1984 by recording two records for a small independent label. One of the albums was released and later re-released in 1995. The other album was
An important part in all film is the sound effects, but it is especially vital to a horror movie. The use of sound effects in the trailer for Leatherface is successful in creating a thrilling feeling for the audience. The trailer begins with the couple driving down the road; While this is happening, calming country music are playing in the background. Starting the film off with what sounds like a soft guitar causes the audience to feel relaxed. However, after a few seconds of the soft music playing, an intense screech interrupts the scene. By incorporating the loud, train like screech right after the relaxing country music addresses the jump scare factor of a horror movie, thus, succeeding in addressing all of the aspects of a horror movie into the trailer. Along with abrupt, loud sound effects, the trailer also uses a low, constant beat to captivate the audience. When introducing the protagonist and her child, there is a chilling beat playing in the background that sounds like a low, deep drum. Adding this steady beat to the trailer is useful because it keeps the audience at the edge of their seat in anticipation waiting for what is going to happen next. In the scene involving the institution that was mentioned earlier, there is a loud siren sound constantly echoing. Then, when something unexpected

At the age of seven, Goldman was forced to the Prussian seaport of Konigsberg to live with an aunt and uncle and to attend a private Jewish elementary school. I stepped out of the chilly November air and into the warmth of my home. The first snowfall of the year had hit early in the morning, and the soft, powdery snow provided entertainment for hours. As I laid my furry mittens and warm hat on the bench to dry, I was immediately greeted with the rich scent of sweet apple pie, pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, and the twenty-pound turkey my mother was preparing for our Thanksgiving feast.

"I always knew this was what I had to do," she says. "I remember when I was really young, standing on my bed like it was a stage, singing at the top of my lungs and visualizing thousands of people surrounding me". She segued from her bedroom to singing, well, whenever and wherever she could-starting in church singing gospel music, and on to festivals, then singing country music at fairs and talent contests-until she was discovered by Arista Records.
captive by a sheath of frost, as were the glacial branches that scraped at my windows, begging to get in. It is indeed the coldest year I can remember, with winds like barbs that caught and pulled at my skin. People ceaselessly searched for warmth, but my family found that this year, the warmth was searching for us.
The Renaissance was a time of creativity and change in Europe. It produced many achievements in art, literature, and science, but most importantly it produced a new concept of how people thought of themselves, each other, and the world around them.
