Individuals in society today appear to be exceptionally in disarray about the label pit bull. The name pit bull is primarily recognized for two precise breeds the American pit bull terrier, and the American Staffordshire terrier. Individuals generally purchase these dogs for security or illicit fighting. When a pit bull mauls a human it’s almost always a massive hit on social media. Pit bulls can be hostile when they feel intimidated just like any other class of dog. Although Brian C. Anderson delivers a somewhat informed argument, I disagree with his view that pit bulls are murderous beasts, created to attack and should be banned from society.
Brian C. Anderson lived in the Bronx with his wife and son. Their neighborhood was a little rough around the edges considering the area that they lived in. They started to realize pit bull owners taking their dogs to their neighborhood park to partake in illicit dog fighting. When the dogs would finish fighting they would release the dogs on the town to terrorize innocent people. They decided to move from the Bronx after their neighbors dog was mauled by a pit bull that was loose. Anderson believes that all pit bulls are born with an innate aggressive behavior. He also believes that pit bulls are causing problems on all public properties (Anderson).
Anderson states that, “Gotham police and other authorities had to round up 892 biting dogs in 1997, 200 more than the year before” (Anderson). Anderson thinks that there should be a ban on the pit bull breed, because of their unusual behavioral traits. The traits that make pit bulls seem so horrid would be, quick to rage, determined, and oblivious to pain. Anderson believes that taking these malicious dogs off of the streets, would put more ba...

...ed on, are the types of people that the pit bulls are being put in the hands of. Giving background checks on the owners and check up on our pit bulls at least once after they are adopted, then the pit bull breed will not have to suffer (Anderson).
Although Brian C. Anderson delivers a somewhat informed argument, I disagree with his view that pit bulls are murderous beasts, created to attack and should be banned from society. Pit bulls are discriminated against because of the power and looks that they have. These dogs are bred by malicious people that get excitement from watching two dogs fight till their death. We need to consider pushing more laws to protect the pit bull, and more rules when adopting them from animal shelters. Others need to see the damage that they are causing for the pit bull breed, and see the real victim in this case; the pit bull (Anderson).
