The Arab Israeli conflict is one of the major dilemmas in the world in the modern history. Many political leaders assume that this is the most complicated conflict around the world, even bigger than the Cold War. During the 1960’s and the 1970’s, the Arab world decided to go with confrontation and fight fire with fire. The Middle East became a war zone where all the Arab countries lined up to win back Palestine. However, the Israeli cabinet was smart enough to maintain their presence in the Palestinian Land. The Arab Israeli conflict has had a huge impact on the Arab countries, some larger than others, but all Arab countries were affected, even though, not all the Arab countries were directly involved in the conflict. The conflict impacted each Arab country in a certain way; however, they were all negatively impacted. Whether it was in a defeat in a war which is what happened with, Egypt, Syria, Iraq and Jordan; or dealing with a huge number of Palestinian refugees which is what happened with Lebanon; or being psychologically effected by the loss of Palestine as what happened in Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria.
The Arab Israeli war began in the late 1926, when Great Britain and the allies were able to defeat the Ottoman Empire in World War I. The British army took control over many parts of the Ottoman Empire, including Palestine. After promising the Arabs a national state, where all the Arabs can unit and live together, they withdrew their promises by offering the Jewish people a home land in Palestine, the Holy Land. This was announced in Balfour Declaration in November 1917 by the British Empire. The declaration was written by the United Kingdom's Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour.
