Animals in Georgia
Parasitism is a dangerous problem because it causes disease in animals. These diseases in animals can be contagious to human beings; therefore animals harm the ecosystem by spreading bacteria, and pathogens. According to Baucom, and de Roode (2011), tolerance or resistant mechanisms in animals could reduce the growth of parasites. Diseases and bacteria are not only the problems with animals, as human population increase, animals and humans comes in conflict with each other. However, the conditions and climate of Georgia can affect some foreign animals. For example, the panda that was at the Atlanta zoo originated from China, since the panda is used to the environment in China, the climate of Georgia has affected them, therefore they were sent back to China to secure their health. Several species such as gray bats, Indiana bats, manatees, and humpback whales are endangering due to human’s overhunting activities (Castleberry 2005). Some animals in Georgia are affected by the conditions and climate of the area, while other animals affect the health conditions of human beings.
Animals live varies to the elevation level of the five regions of Georgia. The five regions of Georgia are Blue Ridge, Appalachian Plateau, Valley and Ridge, Piedmont, and Coastal Plain. Animals such as deer mouse and smoky shrew are the uncommon mammals that live in Georgia, only seen in the Blue Ridge region of Georgia, because this region has the highest elevation. The Valley and Ridge, and Appalachian Plateau Animals contain many caves for bat species. The Piedmont regions provide habitats for the wetland animals such as swamp rabbits, and river otter. The Coastal Plain provides habitats for other animals that live in oceans...

.... Some animals face endangerment because of human’s hunting activities and because of the climate changes. Due to the endangered rare species, people solve this problem by bringing these animals back to their natural habitat.

And subsequently, new policies and laws are created to give people equal access to wildlife. The question regard conservation is very much alive today. And United State needs conservation of wildlife. And the Federal department responsible for conservation, department of the interior are under attack with President Trump new budget plan. So it’s important to keep pushing for better laws and policies to protect

Many animals depend on different environments such as lakes, oceans or the forest in order to survive. However due to human intervention such as pollution of the ocean, or heavy deforestation, many animals are at the risk of extinction. One such example is known as the Gundlach Hawk which due to deforestation is currently on the endangered species list. Due to it being on the list, conservation attempts are being made in order to keep the animal alive and save it from extinction.
These snakes can get very large and have very limited natural predators. Pythons are reproducing very fast, causing competition for food and living space. With the increased competition for living space and food the pythons are ending up in neighborhoods near the park. They also have a large appetite. The number of other wildlife like deer, rabbits, fox and birds are decreasing rapidly because of the pythons. This decrease may cause a repeat effect on all living organisms in the Everglades as the food chain gets disrupted.
The first passage, Environmental Facts About Georgiaś Coastal Plain, provides facts about the Coastal Plains. The facts are environmental centric. For example, the author states,¨ Sixty percent of Georgia's coastal plain is covered in forest.¨ The author goes into more detail about the animal and plant life in the Coastal Plain region of Georgia. Furthermore, the author explains the danger the Coastal Plain is in.
The pythons are released into the wild in the everglades in florida .They mess up the ecosystem up by messing with the food chain . They also often reproduce too quickly The snakes are a big problem in the everglades they are eat a lot of animals one of the biggest is the white tailed deer .They are increasing the white tailed deer by 90 percent .There was a ad on the burmese python that said when there were hunters there were people that cut

In both positive and negative ways, human’s actions are always affecting the lives of animals as well. To reduce future endangerments, we can work to decrease competition between humans and animals (Wyatt, Tristram D. 110). We can also work to understand interactions and aspects of animal behavior that can help us to protect threatened animals. (Wyatt, Tristram D. 113). Scientists can work to learn more about the effects of climate change due to humans and they can campaign to bring awareness to the negative effects we have on wildlife (Wyatt, Tristram D. 114). When humans are more informed about how we affect animals and how we can protect them, there is a much greater chance that they will survive or avoid
1. A giraffe’s habitat consists mainly of savanna and dry open woodland. They prefer to live in warm areas with tall grass to run wild and move freely. They are considered herbivores so they eat leaves off of trees, twigs, shrubs, and mimosa(Australian tree with flowers). A majority of giraffe’s easily adapt to environments that meet their needs. These animals don’t necessarily have predators because of their size. It’s very rare that a large lion pack takes one down. Studies show that they don’t have any animals as their prey.
Even though we have done important things for the treatment, control and prevention of infectious diseases, there are still emerging infectious diseases that are a big problem. One such problem is the relationship between ecology and epidemiology. Ecology is the study of the economy of nature, while epidemiology is the study of the distribution of disease, or other health-related conditions and events in human or animal populations, in order to identify health problems and possible causes. Both of these help to collect data from the field and try to understand how certain organisms survive in their
The American Alligator comes from the phylum Chordata and class Reptilia. It is one of the largest reptiles in North America. They have short powerful legs and a long pointed snout. Alligators go over 2,000-3,000 teeth through their lifetime, since 80 teeth have to be in the alligator’s mouth at a time. They grow a foot a year females grow as big as nine feet, while males can be as big as 13-14 feet. They are mostly found in freshwater habitats like rivers, lakes and marshes. It is found in the southeastern of the United States. They are carnivores, they eat snakes, turtles, fish, small mammals. Its hunting is mainly done in the water. According to nature works the alligators swallow small prey as a whole and they drag larger prey underwater
By trading continuously since so many years the existence of these animals is lowering down and therefore now these species come under the category of endangered species which further now has resulted
In the world where people live in is an enormous responsibility but also the greatest gift that people need to cherish and protect. The human race needs to step up and voice not only their concerns, but the concerns of all the animals endangered or not. Any species which fall into the categories vulnerable, endangered, or critically endangered are considered to be at risk of extinction. {Robert Redford} said “I think the environment should be put in the category of our national security defense of our resource’s because it’s just as important as defense abroad otherwise what is there to defend?”
In conclusion the giraffe is one of the most majestic creatures on earth, they are known to be unique and many people are fascinated by the height and beauty of this creature. It lives among the giraffe family and communicate with other giraffes to detect danger, tend to its young and reproduce. It is strong and not usually targeted by predators because it can detect danger easily and can gallop fast enough to get away from danger.
Imagine a world with barren trees in overgrown fields. The only sound to be heard is the wind blowing through the tall grass. A world once full of life now lays empty do to extinction. This is the result of a world that failed to understand the importance of wildlife conservation. Why is wildlife so important? What steps need to be taken to preserve wildlife? How can one become involved in wildlife conservation? These are all important questions that need to be explored in order to help maintain the delicate ecosystem on Earth. Wildlife plays a vital role in this fragile ecosystem and without wildlife the human race would not survive.
