Having read the book “Animal Farm” I thought it was a good book with a lot of similarities that I could tie it in with reality. I also thought the author explained behavior very nicely. During this book lots of things happen that are much like reality, like tyrants, fake power, and lots of lying. To start off I will tell you about the main characters, and second what they will accomplish during their time in animal farm. I will also discuss what they want whether they're innocent or they lie to be in power.
This book is about many characters mostly animals. There are six main characters, these being first Old Major; an old pig that has won many contests and is favored by Jones. Second is Jones, the man who ran Manor Farm before the rebellion. Third is Snowball , Snowball is a good pig who was very good at speech and was highly respected being first leader in the rebellion. Fourth is the one and only Napoleon; a pig very much like Snowball. He help lead the rebellion in the beginning with Snowball but later disappears with some dogs. He comes back and chases out Snowball becoming the new leader of the rebellion and the farm. Fifth is Squealer; who is next to Napoleon as right hand man, he is the second best known compared to the other pigs. He is one of the better persuader and speakers. Sixth is the great horse Boxer; he is a horse who works harder than anyone on the whole farm. He has 2 quotes “ I will work harder” and “Napoleon is always right”. He adopted these quotes at the beginning of the rebellion and while the execution were happening. There are many more characters in this book but they are lower characters meaning they have short role as an animal.
Next I will discuss what the animals want .The first thing the...

...important event in the book is when the rebellion starts, because this is the start of a new beginning. It also is the start of a great adventure the animals are about to embark on . The reason I say this is because it leads up to many events some that are happy and some that are terrible. Without the rebellion they probably would have starved to death because Jones would always get drunk and not take care of them.
In conclusion Animal Farm was a great book that had a lot of insight to it. The writer tells many stories from lots of points of views. It also had a great connection to the real world the way there was false power and each animal could represent a different person in the reality. This book was great and I would recommend it to anyone who likes to read about modern times or government.

Animal Farm by George Orwell is a novel based on the lives of a society of animals living on the Manor Farm. Although the title of the book suggests the book is merely about animals, the story is a much more in depth analysis of the workings of society in Communist Russia. The animals are used as puppets to illustrate how the communist class system operated and how Russian citizens responded to this. And also how propaganda was used by early Russian leaders such as Stalin, and the effort this type of leadership had on the behavior of the people of Russia.
Animal farm showed me a lot about society. For example, the idea of communism. I don’t agree with communism because no matter what, people will still treat people differently. It’s impossible in this world for all humans to be equal. We can never get along. The United States Military, fights for our freedom every day. Most of society today is cruel. We think of someone being more important than someone else. Animal Farm shows us that this is true. Originally, the idea started out as everyone was equal but then it was changed to “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than
In conclusion, one can clearly see the similarities between the animals in the book as well as the citizens in the country of Tunisia, similarities in both oppression and revolution. Similarities including how a revolution is begun and set forth, social injustices suffered by innocent citizens, and control over the freedom of thought. Although Tunisia has ben successful in its revolution, there are still Arab countries that remain to struggle. Society as a whole needs to realize the dangers and costs of oppressive governments much like the dictatorships involved in the Arab Spring. While Animal Farm may be just a book that uses farm animals as an aid, it effectively depicts the outcomes and consequences involved in oppressive governments especially involved in the Arab spring.
The novel “Animal Farm” was written by the author name George Orwell. Animal Farm is a novel based upon the lives of a society of animals wanting a better life for themselves living on the Manor Farm. The setting of the book is a farm called “Manor Farm”. The theme of this book is that the animals should make a stand; if they continue doing the same thing they will continue getting the same results. It is better to be free and starving, than to be fed and enslaved.
It was the glorious speech from Old Major that made the animals want to rebel so badly. Animal Farm, written by George Orwell is an excellent novel that portrays the need for power. It shows how power can be used for either good or evil. The story begins on Manor Farm, owned by a farmer named Mr. Jones. One of the pigs, named Old Major, gives a speech that motivates the animals to rebel. After a while, the animals ended up rebelling, and managed to kick out Mr. Jones. During the beginning of “Animal Farm’s” reign under Snowball and Napoleon’s (main characters) lead, it brought the animals on Manor Farm together into a peaceful world. However, after this initial stance of power, Snowball and Napoleon began to fight for it. In the end, Napoleon ends up with control of the farm and Snowball is never seen again. Power is a corrupting influence in Animal Farm and both Snowball and Napoleon’s way of leading are very different.
At the beginning of the story, the Old Major calls a meeting in the barn and speaks about Rebellion and Animalism. Shortly after that the Old Major died’s and then the rebellion starts to take place. Mr. Jones is like a bad guy to the Animals. Napoleon to is also another major villain. But after Jones is gone, all of his tools are burned, and now its time for the animals to take a look around the farmhouse. The name Manor Farm is changed to Animal Farm and the Seven Commandments are established. They then start to begin the hay harvest. During the hay harvest Boxer says, “I will work harder” as his personal motto. The harvest turned out to be a success. At this point the pigs are now beginning to abuse their power. Pretty soon the pigeons are sent to spread the word of the rebellion to other animals. And Mr. Jones tries to recapture the farm in the Battle of the Cowshed.
Animal Farm Book and Movie Animal Farm is a novel about farm animals running a farm and becoming self sufficient. It is a story with great detail and is a very good book to read because of it surprising events. If you have seen Animal Farm the movie, you would feel completely different. The movie has far less detail and events to make it as interesting as the book. Though the story is basically the same, the lack of details makes the movie dull.
Animal Farm is an allegory of the period in Russian history between 1917 and 1944. It is a satirical story written in the form of an animal fable. In writing Animal Farm as a fable, George Orwell is able to present his subject in simple symbolic terms by treating the development of communism as a story that is taking place on a single farm with talking animals. The characters of Animal Farm represent figures in Russian history during the Russian Revolution. Places, objects, and events of the Russian Revolution are also symbolized in Animal Farm.
The book animal farm is about the russian revolution explained on a farm. It is about how the animals want to change their ways and become less human and more like animals. They have taken over the farm but the pigs rule over all animals. My quote explaining the reason this is bad is ¨The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which". This shows that the pigs have brung the farm full circle back to what they were trying to stop.
Old Major chose a poor time to launch a rebellion. The dogs showed little care for the outcome of their pups’ upbringing. The hens’ independence could be seen as a bad action to the taking over of the farm. If the sheep were genetically smarter the story’s course could have been changed. Boxer’s tolerance of the pigs could have been a factor leading to his death. Benjamin’s negligence could have been the downfall of the farm. Lastly the remaining pigs selfishness is a contribution leading to the worse then average life of the farm animals. All these animals were responsible for the pigs’ dictatorship.
Animal Farm is a short novel about a group of farm animals, discovering the ideal of all animals being equal, known in the book as Animalism. The animals end up overthrowing their Master and running the farm themselves. They soon realize their beloved concept isn't true at all; two pigs, Napoleon and Snowball, rise to power and debate over whose ideas and improvements are better for the farm. The pigs begin to take over, they are lead by Napoleon. He is seen later on as a tyrannical dictator and ends up will full power of the farm, shattering Animalism as a whole. Napoleon is shown to be a tyrant in the following ways: He begins to break The Seven Commandments and change them to get what he wants; He is treated and presented like dictators of today; Lastly, he literally becomes like man in all senses, which was against the main rule for Animalism. It’s
Animal Farm can be categorized as a fairy tale, or a satire. The story tells the tale of the Manor Farm that is overrun by the animals and renamed Animal Farm. The animals founded their new farm on equality, free from human control or oppression. However, the pigs take leadership of the farm and quickly become controlling, and more and more similar to humans. By the end of the book the pigs declare their intentions of allying with the humans against all the laboring classes of both the human and animal groups. And their decree of equality that stated: “all animals are equal,” was distorted by the pigs to say: “all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.” Animal farm is said to be a fairy tale due to its surreal qualities such as talking animals. Although, it can also be called a satire as Orwell uses humor to encourage reform and maximize the faults of communism and totalitarianism.
Animal Farm is about equality and standing up for your rights. There was a preeminent leader named Old Major who inspired the animals to rebel against Mr. Jones, the farm owner, who treated the animals brutally. This ended up happening and although it wasn’t planned, the animals are living happily without Jones and his men.
In George Orwell’s Animal Farm, a main theme is that power corrupts those who possess it. A definition of corruption is,“dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery.” Orwell develops this idea through the character Napoleon in various ways. Looking back in the book, the animal’s rebellion quickly turned political and revolved around, “Leader, Comrade Napoleon (Orwell 81)”. The power Napoleon possed was executed through lies and selfishness, aided by the lack of intellectual ability in the other animals. The corruption of Napoleon’s power is displayed when he favors himself, along with the other pigs, and eventually the dogs, who all get better rations of food compared to the other animals. Another main demonstration of how power corrupts Napoleon is how he separates himself from the other animals on the farm, displaying his feelings if superiority to the other animals. A ceremonial nature develops towards Napoleon. The last way power corrupts Napoleon is how he acts recklessly; killing other animals and lying about
