Transformers: Dark of The Moon, was an exceptional movie. The movie is about a group of aliens from a planet called Cybertron coming to take refuge in Earth. Directed by Micheal Bay . In this movie, a civil war broke out in a foreign planet Cybertron between the autobots and the decepticons. And in order to rebuild what was destroyed someone has betrayed their side .It is an action movie with a great soundtrack and I really like how in like every movie they play “Linkin Park”. The direction was really good things seemed to blow up when they needed to. And one of my favorite things about this movie was the photography it was used so the emotions and the wreckage was shown so clearly and it was just so easy to understand. The audience intended is the youth 13-25 years old. Something else I found interesting was the casting.although not all of the people who originally were cast was in the movie I still thought it was great. I accually thought that it was better. Besides the great components that has formed, what I unlike many of the critics believe to be one of the greatness movie of all time, an aspect of the film that does not seem to disappoint is the special effects, more specifically, the CGI’s. BBC News states that “it is this hyper-real movie magic that has made the Oscar-winner one of the most sought after visual effects supervisors in Hollywood.” Oscar winning Scott Farrar was the visual effects supervisor in the entire preceding Transformers trilogy. The movie offered “a tour de force of special effects, even if the critics were less kind about the movie's storyline”. While some may say that the visual effects used in the film were too much and sometimes unnecessary, there is no doubt that Farrar achieved great lengths and challenged future innovators of the visual and special effects industry.

For a college production, the acting was outstanding. I really felt the emotions. The lead Wendla, who was played by KyLeigh Zimmerer, was amazing. I have also seen bits and pieces of the Broadway version which starred Lea Michelle, and obviously if I were to compare the acting, the Broadway version would be victorious. However, for a college production, these actors have limited past experience, but their acting was professional. Also, when they sang the song "Those You've Known," I felt chills and had goose bumps because that was such an emotional song. The cast of the movie was sensational. Playing the main character was famous musician and actor, Ice Cube. He is such a serious person that at first I was skeptical of his performance in a comedy. He has played in such movies as Dangerous Ground, Higher Learning, and Boyz 'N Tha Hood. Playing opposite of him was Chris Tucker who is one of the most gifted performers that I've have seen. He has stared in hits such as Rush Hour, The Fifth Element, and Money Talks. These two along with other big comics like Bernie Mac, John Whitherspoon, and Fazion Love bring big laughs to the big screen. Tiny "Zeus" Lester, Nia Long and Regina King do there part as well, to serve up laughs. It is so important to have a good cast that can play their parts well, and get along. If I watch a movie and it is evident that the actors are acting, then I lose interest very quickly. These actors and actresses did a very good job of making every character believable.

What parts of the film were surprising or made you sit back and say, “Hmmm, I need to think more about that? Or, “Wow, I never thought about that.” The part would be when he was talking about “shared equality” up until the 1970’s was a normal thing and how everybody’s income doubled in size as well.
Although I enjoyed the main portion of the movie, there were some obvious likes and dislikes in my opinion. I believe that I learned from this movie and it helped me understand more of what the people of that time were feeling.
The book and the movie were both very good. The book took time to explain things like setting, people’s emotions, people’s traits, and important background information. There was no time for these explanations the movie. The book, however, had parts in the beginning where some readers could become flustered.
