Basal Cell Carcinoma often abbreviated as (BCC) is the most frequently appearing form of skin cancer. They are also referred to as Basal Cell Cancer. These cells lie in the deepest layer of the epidermis which is the outermost layer of the skin. Though the disease can be treated if detected early, as said, ‘prevention is better than cure’. To prevent BCC, there are some guidelines to look out for. The prevention routines that must be adhered to which mostly involve exposure to sun monitoring include but not limited to: seek shade especially when the sun is fully out, to totally avoid burning if possible, make it a habit to apply sunscreen on your body of at least SPF30 and to avoid tanning. It is also advisable to check yourself from head to toe every month so as to early spot any worries.
