There are many amazing airplanes that fascinate me and pull me to their attention but my favorite once was always the legendary warbirds. I have seen many great inspierating movies about them like Red tails. My top 4 warplanes during the world war two are the Spitfire, Bf109, F4U-CORSAIR, A6M Zero. These airplanes had an Impact on Aviation history. One of the most legendary fighters in the sky came from Germany. Willy Messerschmitt and Walter Rethel took the most powerful engine and put it on the smallest fuselage they could lay their hands on and the result was BF109. This plane was 28ft in length, Wingspan of 32ft with 452 MPH at 19,685ft. Bf109 was considered one of the best warplanes because of its innovative design, adaptability and longetivity in service, and huge production numbers. Over 35,000 of this kind of airplane was built during WW2 using liquid-cooled 680 HP Junkers Jumo 210A motor.
