ABSTRACT
Learning a new foreign language is not easy nor as difficult as it may be seen. In this research, I want to show that in order to be able to do something easier than first imagined, one has to be shown how to do that very same thing, only simply. You need to first learn to crawl before walking. This works for languages too, although it takes more of an effort.
Here are my methods of learning :
• The timeframe of my method is: Quality, then quantity.
• The method is based upon a strategy of: Often, natural, and sà-nùk.

Very few students in U.S. universities who have a foreign language as a major manage to reach something called "minimum professional proficiency". But, before I give tips and guidance on doing this, I want to share a few of my thoughts on this interesting topic.
Until recently, I never felt the need to learn more than one language at a time. Now that I think about it, my strict “one language only” approach was mainly for three reasons: (1) once I chose a language, I was so involved in the learning process that I had no desire to deal with others; (2) and learning only one language at a time gave me the opportunity to polish the ones I previously learned; (3) I was never in a hurry to learn languages. Now, I’ll discuss these factors in detail.
For the last 20 years, I was similar to Student A in that I picked up a new language every two years while refining the ones I knew.
