Every day, over 4,000 unborn babies are killed in the United States because of abortion. It has also been scientifically proven that a fetus had a heartbeat earlier than 22 days of conception. And yet people say that the baby in not living, simply because it is unborn? How can something with a heartbeat not be alive? Some people might say that it depends on the situation. What possible situation would make it ok of someone to simply kill her baby? The baby had never done anything wrong, and yet it is still legal to erase its existence.
But what if the woman was raped? Some people would argue that the woman should have the right to have an abortion, because it was not her fault that the baby was conceived. It was not the babies fault either, so the baby should not be punished? If the pregnant woman does not want to carry the baby for the full 9 months, the fetus could be placed in a surrogate mother, who will nurture the fetus inside of her, and when the baby is born, the baby will be placed in the arms of the original mother. And if she does not want the baby, she can put the baby up for adoption, and be placed in a home where its life will be cherished forever rather than simply thrown away and forgotten.
Some people also say that if a teenage girl gets pregnant, she has a right to get an abortion, because her life should not be ruined at such a young age because of a child. My answer to this is simple: don’t do the crime if you cant do the time. In other words, don’t have sex if you don’t want to have a baby. Contraceptives may help reduce pregnancy, but it is not 100% safe. If you have sex, there will always be a chance of pregnancy, no matter what age you are.
But what if the pregnancy is threatening the life of the mother? There are many safe ways to extract the baby from the womb without killing it. The baby could be placed in a surrogate mother until it is born, or it could become a Vitro baby. Vitro babies are commonly knows as “test tube” babies. This works by very carefully removing the fetus from the womb into a glass tube-shaped container, where it will be properly nourished, and soon develops into a full functioning human baby.
If the mother waits until the third trimester (when the baby is more developed), then she must have Partial Birth Abortion. Using Ultra-sound, the doctor grabs the baby’s legs and forces out all but the head. Scissors are then jammed into the back of the skull and opened, creating a larger hole. A suction tube sucks the brains out, causing the skull to collapse. Then the dead baby is removed.Believe it or not, the mother is also harmed. In Suction Aspiration, if any tissue is left inside, it’ll become infected.
It isn’t just your body anymore, once you 're pregnant there 's a defenseless baby inside of you that only you can protect. You can give your child a happy life and help a couple that can’t physically reproduce have a baby.
There are many controversies that revolve around whether abortions should be legal or not. Some people believe that abortions are constitutional. Many believe that abortions are morally and legally wrong. To understand this controversial issue, it is important to know that facts about the legal background of abortions, statistics on why women aborted, and the effects on why women aborted. The following will tell why abortions should no longer be made legal.
In these instances, women have no choice in the matter. If the act of sex was not consensual, making her carry a child for nine months is just cruel. Just image yourself in this type of predicament. Imagine the emotional pain of being raped, imagine waking up every day for the next nine months with a child inside your womb that was forcedly put there against your will. By forcing that woman to carry full term and deliver, you are forcing that woman through a great deal of emotional pain as well as physical pain. You are punishing her for having the ability to carry a child and potentially scarring her for the rest of her life. The woman now has to take care of this baby on her own, a baby that is a constant reminder of the horrible crime of which she was a victim. This child will be at many disadvantages before it is even born such as the resentment from its own mother, having no father around, the possibility of mental and physical deformities from being a product of incest, etc. How is this fair to either the mother or the child? It’s not. If you believe a woman should be forced to give birth no matter what, you are saying that a woman’s life is only important until she is pregnant. You are now classifying her as a vessel, not a human life with rights and
Flip a coin, heads a human lives, tails a human dies. Although some people may view the image of flipping a coin as a provocative metaphor for abortion, it does justifiably describe the fate fetus’s face from unwanted pregnancies. A fifty percent chance to be born, a fifty percent chance of death by abortion. Although abortion was legalized in the United States during the year 1973, through the U.S. Supreme Court Case of Rose vs. Wade, there is still much controversy surrounding the topic today. In order to for one to understand and develop a rational opinion on abortion, one must study the history, laws, and multitude of opinion on abortion.
Partial birth abortion is a controversial method of abortion late in a woman’s pregnancy in which the baby is aborted by a craniotomy. Two organizations are commonly affiliated with abortion: Pro-choice supports abortion saying that what is in a woman’s body is her “property”, while Pro-life believes it is murder of innocent babies. Partial birth abortion is murder of innocent children and an abomination to basic human rights and values.
Women who have become pregnant should take the responsibility for their actions in becoming pregnant. This excludes the argument of “What if the woman was raped?” In the case of a rape, I still believe abortion is not the right way to handle the grief, guilt and depression that a woman may experience after finding out that she has become pregnant after being raped. To abort the baby won’t get rid of the pain a woman has been feeling as a result of the traumatic experience she had been through. I believe that aborting the baby will make things even more difficult. There is always the opportunity to give the child to a loving family who may not be able to conceive a child on their own. Abortion to me though, in my opinion, will always be wrong. I believe that the act of aborting an unborn baby is to be considered murder. I have many reasons as to why I feel this way. First, I believe that an unborn baby is still a human being and their life is as precious as anyone else’s life. Most women do not know they are pregnant as soon as their baby starts developing. 3-4 weeks, or as early as 18 days, after conception, a baby’s heart will start to beat. This to me means the baby is a living creature, a human being at that point. According the website beginbeforebirth.org, it is stated at about 17 weeks
Abortions have been a controversial issue for years. Many states have banned abortions after so long in the gestational age. There are reasons for abortions I can understand, but I just don’t agree. Abortions are an inhumane way to take life God has gifted to us.
...ooses to dis-own her own child either way. If a women is raped, proper medical care would ensure them that they will not get pregnant. Abortion is a punishment to an innocent unborn child who contributed nothing in the act of the crime; the perpetrator should be the one to be punished. On this topic, it does have something to do with my religious views. Either way, people should understand and realize that this is completely and visibly just plain murder. How would you feel if your own mother decided to have an abortion on you? I think people do have the right to choose what to do with their own body, but they should not only just think about their selves in the matter.
Abortion is one of America’s most controversial subjects. The participants in this debate have fixed beliefs on the matter at hand. On one side of the debate are people who believe in pro- choice. They argue that choice of a woman is more important than an unborn fetus. They point out that an unborn child is not on the same level of importance as the mother. Also, the pro-life group declares that choice is the sole purpose behind their argument. They believe that if a woman cannot chose to abolish a pregnancy, then she looses one of her basic human rights. The other side of the debate is the pro-life group. Their main concern is that the fetus is a person; therefore, having the same human rights as the mother. As a result, when states pass laws that enable abortions, these states are legalizing murder. When considering an individual’s ethics and values, killing is morally wrong. Therefore, the termination of unborn children is wrong, as well. Abortion, the unethical expulsion of an embryo or fetus, in order to purposely end a pregnancy, should be forbidden because human life begins at conception, economics is not a justification for abortion, and an unwanted child does not justify abortion.
In my argumentative coursework I am arguing that abortion is wrong and not to be mistaken with 'Abortion should be made illegal.' I will explain later why I have made this statement. Abortion is the termination of an unborn child in its mother's womb for up to twenty four weeks of the pregnancy or in special circumstances e.g. Disability diagnosis a termination right up until the mother goes in to labour. I think the above definition is an easier and less harsh way of saying that abortion is the murdering of a human being. There are several reasons why abortion is legal and several reasons why it shouldn?t be.
Is abortion murder? Murder is defined as "illegal killing with malice aforethought." Abortion fails this definition for two reasons. First, abortion is not illegal, and second, there is no evidence to suggest that expecting mothers feel malice towards their own flesh and blood.
Many people try to justify their actions for abortions, insisting that it is in the best interests of the child. The reasons women have abortions are not simple and can be difficult to understand, they can cover a broad range from rape, deformity, not being able to provide for the child, in another relationship, or unplanned pregnancy. Some women state, “I may not be able to provide it with a good life” to “It was bad timing and I can’t support a child right now”. In the case of rape it’s not the baby’s fault, instead of punishing the criminal it is giving the ultimate sentence to the child, the capital punishment death. “The circumstances of a preborn child's creation should not modify, let alone negate, his or her right to life. In other words, the preborn baby has a right to life regardless of the circumstances under which he or she w...
It is almost unanimously agreed upon that the right to life is the most important and sacred right possessed by human beings. With this being said, it comes as no surprise that there are few issues that are more contentious than abortion. Some consider the process of abortion as immoral and consisting of the deprivation of one’s right to life. Others, on the opposite end of the spectrum, see abortion as a liberty and a simple exercise of the right to the freedom of choice.
Women are using abortion as a method of birth control, it’s horrible how some women kill an unborn child for convenience. There are so many ways to avoid getting pregnant and prevent abortion. If you are not financially stable, don’t have unprotected sex and prevent murder. A women that can’t support her child don’t have the need to have an abortion when she can completely confidential and for free give her child for adoption to a family that will love and protect him or her. A baby that is a product of a rape should not be killed because just like his mother, the unborn has no fault of been brought into the world. In addition, killing an innocent baby won’t make a women forget the rape. It is true that the unborn cannot survive outside the uterus on his owns, and that the fetus most be at least 22 weeks to have the chance of surviving, is also true that the unborn is in his mother’s body, but is not her body. By that being said the unborn has the right to live just like any of us. An unborn child is capable of experiencing pain by 20 weeks after
