A Night at the Gala: 2010 Gala Performance

A Night at the Gala code name “Operation Dragon Fly” was a tribute to Linda Garner Miller, (Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Student Advancement) and her thirty years of dedication to George Mason University Dance Company. The 2010 Gala Concert was composed of three main pieces one of recent choreographed in 2009; Opus 100 by Christopher D’Amboise. Other featured pieces included Strict Love by Doug Varone (1994) and Grand Duo by Jaqulyn Buglisi (2006). The combination of contemporary and modern pieces generated a memorable night. Each piece was unique choreographed to commemorate different eras. All tied into the major theme in observation of the occasion to hone Mrs. Miller.
