A Man with Passion Freedom remains the sole basis for American society as we know it. “All men are created equal, they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; among this is life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” is a quote from the Declaration of Independence. This statement has been the basis of human rights and the overall justice of American democracy. However, looking back at American history, not everyone was able to attain freedom without sacrifices. Some time in American history, African-American was treated unfairly and even to these days, some still suffer from racism. In spite of this issue that has roam throughout America, there are some ordinary people who stand up to gain what the land of America has promise to its people. Martin Luther King Jr. is the guiding light to stop racism. He was a man who was inspired by his dream to fight for his American dream. In his short life, Martin Luther King Jr. served as an instrument in helping us realize the true meaning of being an American and how to achieve the American dream that each one of us wants to attain. When people hear the name Martin Luther King Jr. they might think of a man who is a hero and a man who is so passionate about his dream. The world saw him as a civil right leader, an activist, a spokesman, and the conscience of nation. With a profound and thoughtful insight, he pointed out the problem that our nation and the world have toward segregation. His contribution to history made him a unique individual. In his short life, he became an instrument who helped us realized and resolved the revolting flaws which corrupting the name of America. Prejudice and racism have always and will always exist among people. The prejudice this nation faces now and has faced for years is racial oppression and segregation. Martin Luther King had a dream. He didn’t want people to be” judged by the color of their skin, but the content of their character”. He was determined that his dream would become a reality, and in most ways it did. The rights of the people are now equal. Any person, regardless of his race can do anything. MLK played a major part in today’s problem, and will have an impact on what is to come. Martin Luther King Jr. is a man who changed our country. His numerous accomplishments have changed our society for the better. He will always be one of the greatest leaders of all time. He is an inspiration to many people, and a hero to all for believing in a world of freedom and equality.
