Dear Holmes, I hope you are doing well, and I continue to pray that your health stays in tip top shape so that we can successfully conclude this investigation. My main reason for writing you this letter is to keep you up-to-date with all the goings on at Baskerville Hall. In our carriage, I and Sir Henry were treated to some mental stimulus in the shape of serene meadows and farmers tending to their amply sized cows. I never imagined that after travelling through such tranquil and heavenly landscape we would be greeted upon arrival by a barrage of soldiers. Holmes, at this point my heart wept for Sir Henry because he had expressed eagerness at visiting the moor, and I could only imagine how he must have been feeling after arriving at this most inappropriate time. As we travelled by horse drawn carriage to the estate, our questions were answered by a foot soldier that informed us that a convicted murderer, who goes by the name of Selden, had escaped from prison. Holmes it baffles me how a town can claim to be safe if it cannot keep its criminals where they belong,-in jail. ...
