George W. Bush was the forty-third president of the United States, born to America’s forty-first president George Bush and raised in New Haven, Connecticut then moved to Midland, Texas where he spent his early years. He has five siblings, including his sister Pauline who died from leukemia at the age of four. After graduation from Philips Academy in Massachusetts, he attended Yale University, were he earned a bachelor’s degree in history. Upon completing school, he joined the Air National Guard, until being discharged in November 1974. After discharge, George W. Bush then attended graduate school, completing a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard University. Two years later, he met his wife Laura and married in 1977 in Midland, Texas. Although the Bush family has a history within politics, George W. Bush worked in the oil industry and established a company called Arbusto Energy in 1977.
Few years later, after rekindling his Christian beliefs, he then moved to Washington, D.C and assisted his father in his presidential campaign. What led him to become a politician was influenced by his move to Washington D.C as well as his family’s history of public service. Because of his father’s political stance in the United States, George W. Bush ran in a political office to be a representative of the 19th district in Texas. Even though he lost to Kent Hance in 1994, George W. Bush ran again and was elected the 46th governor of Texas. This started his first success in politics, being the first in Texas history to complete a two consecutive four-year term.

Bush also provided effects in a global fight toward certain diseases such as Tuberculosis and Malaria. One of his most notable accomplishments was reducing the violence in the Iraq war by his “surge” plan.
In conclusion, many may view George W. Bush in a negative light, focusing solely on failures as a president but he did have great accomplishments that helped. Such as, education, war and preserving our national monuments and habitats. Even now, post- presidency he continues to emphasize “education, global health, human freedom, and support on helping the military”.

Bush's Dad, George H. W. Bush, was Vice President from 1981 to 1989 and President from 1989 to 1993. He was a big influence on his son George W. Bush’s life. George Bush attended public schools in Midland, Texas until the family moved to Houston after he finished seventh grade at a Midland Middle School. He then went to The Kinkaid School a Houston prep school for two years. George ended up finishing high school at Phillips Academy an all-male boarding school in Massachusetts, where he played baseball and his senior year was to my surprise the head cheerleader. Bush attended Yale University from 1964 to 1968, graduating with a Bachelor in history. While at Yale he was a cheerleader and a member of the Frat Delta Kappa Epsilon, and was elected the fraternity's president for his senior year. George Bush also was a member of the Skull and Bones society as a senior at Yale. In the fall of 1973, Bush enrolled in the Harvard Business School, where he earned a Masters degree of Business Administration. He is the only U.S. President to this date to have earned an M.B.A.

The Obama campaign developed a strategy for winning the Democratic nomination that relied on assembling the blacks and white liberals that had enabled him to succeed in Illinois, with an additional focus on young voters. However, Senator and former First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton opened a strong lead in the polls, even among African American voters and leaders who admired her and her husband, former President Bill Clinton. Known as the most charismatic president George W. Bush served his time as the president of the U.S. from 2001-2009. George grew up as the eldest of 6 kids (two sisters, 3 brothers) unfortunately one of his sisters died of leukemia when she was a child. George always was enthusiastic, & he was quiet the athlete! He was in football, baseball, rugby, basketball & was the head cheerleader! George started presidency fairly young, he was voted class president in 7th grade. Once finished high school George chose to take after his father, he decided to go to Harvard & get his master of business administration. He also graduated from Yale to top it off! Later in his years when he was 31 years of age, he met his wife Laura Welch, within only 3 months of knowing each other they were married. Laura is said to be “the best first lady” due to her elegance & how she always kept herself in the best possible manner. Not long after marriage Laura and George were blessed with two beautiful twin gals Jenna and Barbara. (Johnson, 2012) As wonderful as this life sounds sadly enough there were some harsh difficulties in the family. Sir Bush struggled strongly with alcoholism, but after a crazy drunken night George woke up & decided to stop. He never struggled after that night again. George and the family slowly but surely came to the Lord. (GOLDMAN, 2010) Sir George W. Bush was a good man who may have made some mistakes in life and presidency but all & all he was a good leader who had good intentions. He loved and he cared.
George Bush was an inspiring president and truly a man for his country. He faced one of the most difficult challenges of any president since Abraham Lincoln (Whitehouse.gov). The challenge that he faced was to tell people what he was going to do about the 9/11 attacks. His journey to presidency was a struggle, he lost the election by 543,895 votes but they had a recount and Bush won with the electoral votes 271 to 266 (Whitehouse.gov). George Bush made a big difference in the world that we live in today. George Bush was an inspiration to all of America.
Albert Gore, Jr., was born in Washington D.C on March 31, 1948. His mother was Mrs. Pauline Lafon Gore and his father was Albert Gore, Sr. As Governor Bush, Al Gore has a father who was in the political business; his father was a Democratic congressman and senator from Tennessee. Gore graduated from Harvard University in 1969 with a Bachelor's degree in government. While he was studying in Harvard, he was linked with drugs like marijuana that made his father mad at him, and he almost lost everything he got, so he decided to quit and never do that again. Although Gore opposed U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War, he accepted induction into the United States Army and served as a military reporter. Upon his return home, and until 1976, he worked as an investigative reporter and editorial writer for the "The Tennessean" a Nashville newspaper. Gore married Mary Elizabeth "Tipper" Aitcheson on May 19, 1976 and they have four children. Gore was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives several times and he also was elected to the U.S. Senate and as member of Congress, he earned a reputation as an authority on arms and environmental issues. After that, Gore ran unsuccessfully for the democratic presidential nomination 1988. In 1992 Al Gore was the running mate of Bill Clinton, also in this year he wrote "Earth in Balance" which is a book that talks about environmental issues. Clinton defeated the incumbent Republican President, George Bush, and Al Gore became Vice-President in 1993, finally they were reelected in 1996 and in 1999 Gore announced his candidacy for President in the 2000 election.
