A Case Against Abortion

Imagine having to go to the bathroom and finding yourself staring at a tiny three-millimeter fetus in the palm of your hand. “I just passed a foot!” That was what a twenty- two-year old woman said when she encountered herself with the upper part of the fetus in her undergarment. Adalisa decided she was not ready for a child at the moment. She was still going to school and working two jobs. Adalisa also did not have one of the best relationships with her boyfriend. All she could think of was what her boyfriend’s reaction would have been if he found out about the pregnancy.

Adalisa decided to take matters into her own hands. She visited a near by abortion clinic that charged about $700 for the procedure. Although she did not have the sufficient amount for the abortion, the doctor still performed the procedure. The total amount of time that the actual procedure took was only about five minutes. She was surprised that it was done so fast. The doctor dismissed her about half an hour after the procedure was done. They even gave her the approval of getting behind the wheel right after.

About three weeks after the abortion, Adalisa had severe cramps in her pelvis. Her mother, who lived with her, advised her to go to the emergency room. She was afraid of going because she did not want her mother to find out about the abortion. She kept getting the feeling of having to go to the bathroom. When she did go to the bathroom, she pulled down her undergarments and found her baby in there. The fetus was only a fourteen-week-old fetus but it was easy to make out as a human being.
