982 Words2 Pages

I have chosen the career of Mechanical Engineering for this research paper. The reason why I choose this career is because I am very interested in prototyping, designing, and building machines and other types of tools that we use in our daily lives. Mechanical engineers make people’s lives better and easier. I find this interesting inspires me to become one of them. This is why I choose this profession for my research paper.
I will be going over five topics for this paper. These topics are:
1. High school and university requirements
2. What is the graduation rate in a engineering course at a top engineering university
3. How hard is it to get a successful job as an engineer
4. Average work hours of an engineer
5. Are there any benefits for engineers
The reason that I chose these to be the topics that I will research is because they are very important to know before going into any job. Researching these five topics also helps with choosing the correct courses in high school which will allow one to access universities with a better education. This in turn will help with getting a job once you have attained your degree. The second topic goes over what universities you have a higher chance of graduating from and therefore going on to get a job. These topics are all very important and so I will go into further details about each topic. This allows myself and the reader a greater understanding of what one would be getting into if they ever decided to start a career in this field.
The first topic that I will talk about is the high school requirements. To get into a university you need to have the following courses, completed with at least a 60% but the recommended average is 85%. These courses are Pre-Calculus Mathematics, Chemis...
