Being an agricultural engineer, you have to apply knowledge of engineering technology and biological science to agriculture (“Agricultural Engineers careers” para.1). You are able to discuss plans with the clients, contractors, and consultants (“Agricultural Engineers” What’s para.3). At the job you will prepare reports, working drawing, specification proposals, and have to make budgets for proposed sites or system (“Agricultural Engineers” What’s para.3). If you work as one often you must be able to address problems that may occur or come up in a short period of time (“Agricultural Engineers” U.S. para. 15). Often you would have to handle loads up to 10 lbs (“Agricultural Engineers” What’s para. 4). They design ag. machinery, components and equipment using computer- aided design technology (“Agricultural Engineers” U.S. para.9). They test machinery and equipment to see if it works properly (“Agricultural Engineers” U.S. para. 9). They are going to apply technological advances to farming, they are making farming equipment with GPS (“Agricultural Engineers” U.S. para.10). Agricultural engineers can work on high tech applications to grow products, water resource management and, also on alternative energies (“Agricultural Engineers” U.S. para.5). They try to house animals, comfort them, make them healthy, and even monitor productivity. They give advice on water qualities (“Agricultural Engineers” U.S. para.9). They provide water quality issues related to managing pollution controlling rivers, and using other water resources. They should be able to supervise environmental and land projects (“Agricultural Engineers” U.S. para.9). “The ultimate goal of farming is not the growing of crops, but the cultivation and perfection of human beings.” - Masanobu Fukuoka. That’s something people don’t understand about agriculture in the past, the present, and the future. Farming and agriculture is more than just planting a field and harvesting it, it’s a way of life. Generations molded and lived their life around farming. It’s a way to live, a way to make money, and a way to eat. So when you wake up in the morning and pour your cereal or throw your bread in the toaster, thank a farmer. For today, I’m here to talk about the Agricultural Revolution and how it transformed the way of life and triggered the Industrial Revolution.
I believe everyone has been born to do something. I was born to be a veterinarian. People tell me that I will probably end up changing my degree choice “twenty seven times” before I even graduate form college. I believe otherwise. I have grown up on a farm with filled with adopted animals of all kinds- rabbits, pigeons, goats, frogs, dogs, chickens, cats, cattle, and an iguana. Ever since I was seven I new I was born to become a veterinarian.
Agriculture plays an enormous part in having a functioning society. The farming fields in the

Outdoor work has always been important to me, both on the farm and off it. As someone who enjoys working with my hands to accomplish something that is challenging and productive, horticulture was a natural field for me to look into as a career. Horticulture requires both physical strength and mental ability that is practical and based on solving a real-life problem, rather than simply being an intellectual exercise or on arbitrary conditions. Horticulture as a term is a rather broad definition of a variety of careers and activities; is it merely backyard gardening or is it biological research culminating in genetically modifying plants for the advancement of our economy and well-being? The answer is honestly both, and in this aspect, horticulture is a rare field of study offering both simple (on the face of it, at least) manual labor and incredibly advanced research and study careers. Horticulture is also rare in that it has ties to both age-old practices and traditions of gardening and plant production and new-age philosophies of environmentalism, research, and science. People have been cultivating plants for decoration and sustenance for millennia, and horticulture is the best term to describe these activities. However, horticulture is also the best description of the work done by scientists, researchers, and educators to advance our knowledge of both how plants grow and develop and how the world can utilize these properties. With that being said, to learn more about careers in horticulture the following research paper will describe the definition of horticulture, the education and qualifications necessary, and the specific careers available in horticulture.
Engineering is a major that is very known in that it 's probably that is the most sought after major. according to the article, “Engineering Job Description”, some of the skills that’s needed are creativity, math skills, mechanical skills, problem solving, teamwork, listening, communication, project management. The Engineering field is like a giant tree. a tree that branches out to other field of engineering. Engineering is where innovative people are coming up with ideas that makes our life better and more efficient. Some of the ideas are being used to this day like the a the river dam, waterless toilet, even wind turbines. The dam was build with the though to compensate without electricity usage, the waterless toilet the world 's water problem, the wind turbines are made for more cleaner way to make electricity. Since there are many branches, each branch is specially suited on one topic. Personally i tried computer engineer, what i 've learned is that computer engineer is also another form of that can helping out. It involves coding programs and having that program command a machine to carry out that command. However the process of getting the code is quite difficult. The code can get quite lengthy and difficult. The code can mess up just by one error. The entire action may be cancel out just by one error
An engineer is the person who build, design and maintains machines, engine or public works. It is very important to have engineer in the society or country. This is because they are the person who responsible to invent things and create new technology. There are many type of engineer in this world. For example, mechanical engineer, chemical engineer, electrical engineer and biomedical engineer. Each field of engineering has their own role and specific work. The engineer must cooperate to each other to solve the problem of society. They cannot work on their own or selfish in facing or solving the problem. So, an engineer must good in teamwork. The soft skills is very important. Every engineer must know how to work together or other people will
So overall, Agriculture is playing a very important role in changing the lifestyle of different people. Agriculture might have made everything easy for us but it still has its cons. We see the effects of agriculture and how it affects the lives of other species and the environment.
Chemical engineers could also hold an important key in vertical farms. Vertical farms is a concept that is being talked about. Vertical farms will supposably increase the production rate of food. The farm would be stacked up like a tower or in the ground and would use hydroponically fed crops and artificial lightning. Chemical engineers are there to prevent any environmental damage that might come
According to dictionary.com,” Mechanical Engineering is the branch of engineering dealing with the design, construction, and use of machines.” Their job is to take an idea and actually make it happen. Doing this takes a lot of knowledge and skills. They first start off with an idea that they have. Then they try to make a small module of it. They do this so they know what the product will work without spending a lot of money on it. They have to find the right materials to do this. The materials have to be able to withstand a lot of things nature has to throw at it. Like rain, dust, lightening, and many more things. After they have to make sure the produce is safe. When all of this is done they build the real thing.
Agricultural education can be perceived as “the profession that teaches farming”. However this is far from the truth. This young discipline is much more than sows, cows, and plows. Agricultural education, as I mentioned earlier, is a younger
The global population in the year 2050 is expected to be nine billion and the agricultural demand is expected to double. With the current population already over seven billion people, there are hunger issues all around the world (“New” par. 1). How are we going to deal with food shortages in the future? With less land to work with, strains on the soils, and the lack of water, it is getting harder for the farmers of the world to support our growing population. These complications are making it harder for farmers to produce quality, affordable food. To help the crops grow better, farmers use fertilizers and chemical sprays to enhance growth and control the weeds. Farming in the United States is a relevant business because it supplies people with food, provides people with jobs maintaining the used equipment with the new equipment being much more expensive, and it provides research for more efficient ways on how to feed the world.
Agriculture is quite possibly the most important advancement and discovery that humanity has made. It produces the one thing that we need the most: food. It has been around since 9500 BC, and can be the oldest sign of mankind’s acumen and the development and evolving of our minds and creations. Agriculture has been mastered throughout hundreds of years and is one of our most important resources on Earth, along with water and fossil fuels. Although the older farming methods from ancient times seem somewhat mediocre and barbaric, they were very ingenious and advanced for that time period. Over thousands of years, we have improved the way agriculture is used, how land is cultivated, the various techniques of farming and irrigation, and the tools and mechanics used. Numerous things that we see as aboriginal today, such as using a hand plow, were extremely contemporary in ancient times, and played key roles in the development of man and society, since quick labor was not abundant before this time. We are now extremely advanced in agriculture and irrigation and the tools used to farm and grow and harvest crops. We have learned from our past and ancestors how to grow and evolve in our methods and have advanced forward greatly.
People have depended on agriculture for years as the primary source of getting food. We have developed all kinds of ways to manipulate nature so what we can produce higher yield crops, more nutritious crops, bigger crops, crops that withstand cold, and farming equipment that allows us to manufacture these crops with relative ease. Why then are there five billion people being malnourished and forty thousand children dying each day from hunger? It seems as though world hunger is more a result of the lack of distributing the food properly than the lack of quantity. agriculture has turned into a high profit business and biotech companies like Monsanto are constantly trying to come up with better and more efficient ways of farming. Are they doing this to try to solve the world hunger crisis, or merely to make a profit?
The growth of the world’s population has led to a growth in animal agriculture, because as population grows, the need for food does as well. Animal agriculture is the use of animal farms to produce animal products that are then consumed by the general public. As agribusiness expands, issues such as the need for farm insurance and animal rights have received more awareness. Modern day industrialism is being applied to animal agriculture in developed nations such as the United States and Canada. Farm Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on research in agribusiness and improving the economy through agriculture, claims that “the North American livestock industry is expected to
