I want to be a human resources specialist because it has good money. It’s in a business I have always wanted to be in a business. I also want to be that because you can hire and fire people. You also have to give people drug test very frequent in this career and in almost every career. You also have to do a lot of paper work. The human resources all started around the 19th century. The one’s that came up with the idea called them self’s warfare creators. One big problem was that World War 1 had just started and most of the men were in the war and so it just left the women to do the job. In the 20th century the human resources had to do the training in their job. They are the boss for the people that are under them. They hire and also fire the people that are trying or are already working there. Most of the people that are human resource specialist are women but there are some men that do this job to. Is’ also good money and most men don’t go to college long enough or some don’t even go they go to hands on working. About 900,000 people employee in the career field of a human resources specialist. There are about 400,000 jobs of human resources available in the U.S. today. Human resources specialists 70,000 people get jobs that is about 13%. They say that the percent will grow to be twenty by the year 2024. Over the next 10 years in the HR specialist can expand 60% are rewarded employees. It has grown in the past five years about 7.6 percent and they are hiring a lot more to the percent of mere hired people has grown to about 30 percent in the past ten years. They estimate that about fifteen percent will grow of hired people in the next twenty years. When you first start out in the human resources your salary is not great but it is enough to get by it about $35,000 at first. The average salary is about $48,000 that is pretty good. The expectation salary is about $63,000 a year that is really good that is above average. There is nothing you could gain by this career. The only way you could advance is if you go back to college and you get a better degree but that’s it. After researching this career I would want to do it because it has good money and it sounds fun to do.
The career I have chose is Physical Therapy(PT). Physical Therapist do many different things, but their main function is to help impaired or physically disabled people enhance their movement and handle their pain. Physical Therapist are a main source in the rehabilitation, medical care and prevention of people with long lasting illnesses or damage. The reason I chose this career is because I love helping people and enjoy seeing people be motivated and succeed at their task. To help someone gain full strength in their limbs or maybe even learn how to walk again is my lifelong dream. It is important to understand the education or training requirements, skills or talents needed, salary and benefits offered, and the duties for a particular career

The importance of Human Resource management is associated with the beginning of mankind. As the knowledge of survival had begun including safety, health, hunting and gathering, tribal leaders passed on the knowledge to their youth. However more advanced HRM functions were developed as early as 1000 B.C and 2000 B.C. Since the modern management theory took over, the working environment was transformed into a more friendly and safe work place. The workers were termed as most valuable resources. While some companies took the human side of employment seriously, there were others who did not find it mandatory. Hence they faced huge labor unions and factory shut downs (Henning, 2001).
Popular culture has shown many different portrayals of human resources (HR) over the years, however HR is rarely shown in a positive light. They go from being shown, or treated, as if they are evil and sadistic in some representations, to being depicted as overly friendly pushovers. There are many examples of these alternating stereotypes in the media, whether it be television shows, movies, or even comic strips.
The career I wish to pursue is that of a stockbroker. I am extremely interested in the trading of stocks and financial holdings so the career of a stockbroker just seems to fit in with my overall plan. Numbers have also always been a fascination of mine and the trends of the economy and long term financial outlooks have often interested me greatly. Stock broking is a risky business that one needs to be prepared for highs and lows if choosing to pursue. You must understand what a stockbroker truly does to even begin to follow this as a life long career.
Whether an organization consists of five or 25,000 employees, human resources management is vital to the success of the organization. HR is important to all managers because it provides managers with the resources – the employees – necessary to produce the work for the managers and the organization. Beyond this role, HR is capable of becoming a strong strategic partner when it comes to “establishing the overall direction and objectives of key areas of human resource management in order to ensure that they not only are consistent with but also support the achievement of business goals.” (Massey, 1994, p. 27)
The traditional administrative role of human resource practices are a thing of the past and new roles for HRM are emerging at an alarming rate in the 21st century. HR is increasing its support for business goals and objectives while at the same time becoming strategic business partners. Challenges for the 21st century include, changing roles, shifting demographics, and globalization. In order for HR to stay current they must adapt and make necessary changes in retraining, alternative work schedules and technological advancements. Then, these successes have to be analyzed and evaluated for effectiveness.

In an effort to gain a working understanding of the Human Resources field, I chose to interview the Director of Human Resources for an organization in Miami, Florida. What I learned goes far beyond any classroom or textbook instruction. It is clear; the field of Human Resources will never be static, as society, technology, and legal environments change, so will the field of Human Resources.
HR department originated and developed in the same method as other areas of a business. Just as jobs continue to be created as we continue to evolve as a civilized race, it is by that same manner that the human resources department came to be.
My ultimate career goal is to be a general human resource manager or recruiter for a high-tech or pharmaceutical company. These are industries in which I foresee great potential for growth in the future. I enjoy every aspect of my major, and I look forward to the variety of tasks and obstacles I will face as an H.R. manager. The prospect of interacting with people on a daily basis appeals to me immensely in a job.
Human resources are the function within a company’s organization that monitors the availability of qualified workers. They recruits and screens applicants for jobs help select qualified employees. Some of those roles are focusing on recruitment, employee performance management benefits, compensation, training and retention in an organization. All this is the human resources manager needs to provide a high return on the company’s investment in its people. A human resources manager also deals with the employee relations, resource planning and administrative personal functions. They also deal with hiring, firing, training and other personal issues. A human resources manager also deals with safety, employee motivation, communication and all the administrative stuff. A human resources manager is one of the most important jobs in any health care organization.
My ideal career would allow me to do something that interests me. I enjoy working with words and with numbers. I've also had success in the areas of technology and customer service.
The work of HR specialist is not only affected by the internal factors, there are also external environmental factors that influence how HR specialist operates. In this section, I am going to discuss factors that influence the Practice of HR in organizations, from outside the scope of the organization. The factors include Political, Legislation and Regulations, Actions of Competitors and Economy of the country
