What does the president of the U.S. mean to you? What does it mean to have the title “President”? Is there an extra sense of obligation or authority to that name? It has been known that a few presidents in particular did not live up to the expectations associated with the presidency title. One of them was named Porfirio Diaz and he is the number one cause of the Mexican revolution. When is decades long rule over Mexico was challenged he got his framed an innocent man and sent him to prison. This man eventually called for a revolution against the president. The people had been ready for years and this is just what they needed; the revolution had begun. The Mexican revolution was an extremely bloody conflict between the people of Mexico and the presidents they had to live under.
The Porfirio Diaz first had good intentions for Mexico. He at first bettered Mexico exponentially in his first few years. His main goal for the government was to be more industrial. He thought that agriculture didn’t matter as much as industry. The only problem was that most of the people living in Mexico depended on the agriculture. Diaz was well aware of the problem and ignored the people’s needs. Eventually his popularity started to drop. People where then looking for anyway to take him out of office. Once he realized that his presidency was being threatened; he did everything in his power to ensure he won. That is; until “People started noticing that he was rigging elections” (Source b2).

There was a long list of leaders/presidents in the Mexican revolution. Some of them were not qualified one bit and didn’t know what it took. The less ready or qualified you were the better chance you had of being killed or starting a war. The main man originally in this story was Porfirio Diaz; but as time passed you realized the bad decisions of other presidents. For instance Francisco Madero; he ran for office just to get someone else out. He should’ve known that without experience and a plan that he wasn’t going to do well. You need a plan to succeed as a president. War was the only option in the beginning but it wasn’t in the end. The Mexican revolution was an extremely bloody conflict between the people of Mexico and the presidents they had to live under.
