Our society over time, has drastically changed. More interests start occuring, imagination starts expanding and people start changing. As students in a school with a specific structure of how a day will run, limits them. Schools shouldn’t be limiting students, they should do the opposite, they are figuring who they are.
Many schools since day one already have a structure that students should follow. Many schools already established a schedule which minimizes the individuality students get to have. As source B (High school bell schedule), displays an example of how a school day would happen. The schedule gives what classes will happen and the exact time it starts and ends. Students understand there should be a structure of how a school should run but schools should also suggest the students opinions. There is no break in any of the classes, except lunch. All students have different ways of learning so they shouldn’t but be all put under the same category. However, if more individualism was offered it would be completely different. Students are expected to come everyday and learn for 5 days very week, for a whole year. Two days sometimes isn’t enough time to gather yourself to repeat the same cycle. Individuals have different lives some harder than others. As source E states “At the very least we should modify it, perhaps by giving children every year a larger number of authorized absences,”. Students don’t only have to worry about school and those who do are lucky. Absences may affect someone's education but high school is all about teaching students how to be responsible alone, no one is going to hold their hand in college.
