There’s a well-known artist who got bullied at school, whose dad left him at a young age and who never had a good relationship with his mother. He got named the King of Rap by revolutionizing the rap industry but he never really had a happy life even during his prime. Eminem was appreciated by a lot, but his beloved daughter did not. He was always absent and didn’t have time for her. He couldn’t find a way to express his sorriness/remorse so he used his musical talents to apologize and wrote one of his top-hit songs “Mockingbird”.*thesis* Even by being a top-hit song, “Mockingbird’s” backstory is often missed. Eminem’s main purpose of the song was to ask forgiveness to his daughter Hailie. At that time, Eminem’s salary was very low and they lived in an unsafe neighborhood and got robbed several times.
