Dog Persuasive Speech

Everyone that has had several pets will have to admit, no matter how much you loved them all, you surely had a favorite. It may not have been voiced out loud, certainly not to your friendly critters for fear of them being hurt, but it’s unavoidable. I, like many of you, am biased with my special pet, but before you reap the benefits of that special bond a lot of hard work and responsibility is required. I’m here to tell the tale of my journey with my German Shepherd fluff ball from puppy to a mostly matured adult.

If you haven’t had the pleasure of owning a dog you may not know of the many perks of having ones companionship. Dogs are usually fiercely loyal to the owner after they have been well acquainted, if you have raised one from infancy, such as I, you can be assured of their unwavering loyalty, that is unless sometime else has the treats. Packaged in with the loyalty is a need to protect their owner, some dogs can be more protective than others, but believe me you can count on a canine to protect you from any threat, mailman included. Speaking of the mailman, dogs are generally territorial of their home, warding those awful joggers away from their home turf. It’s a ruff job but someone has to do it.

You have to take care of its health as you would any member of your family; getting check-ups at the vet, shots and vaccinations, flea treatments, making sure it has shelter outside from the sun and weather, giving some form of dental care if needed, access to water and nutritional meals of course, and properly grooming their coats, after winter especially when they are shedding their winter coat they grew in to provide more warmth to combat against the cold.
